Computers help students to learn different subjects like mathematics, English, science, etc.
They help students to solve mathematical problems and check spellings, sentences,
grammars in English subject. Teachers also take help of computers to teach different
subjects in a much better and more interesting manner.
d. Can you watch movies on the computer?
Yes, you can watch video songs and movies on the computer.
e. What is the use of computers in the supermarkets?
Computers are used in supermarkets. They help cashiers to make bills. The Bar Code
Reader reads the information of items and the computer makes bills.
f. Why do banks use computers?
Banks use computers to keep and maintain the accounts of their customers. They also use
computers to calculate interest, balance, and print customer statements.
g. How are computers used in Hospitals?
Computers are used in hospitals for keeping records of patients. They help doctors to do
operations of the patients and find the diseases of patients and the medicines.
h. How are computers used in Offices?
Computers are used in offices. The staffs use computers to prepare letters, circulars and
other documents. They also use computers for sending/receiving electronic mails (e-mails),
chatting and Browse websites.

drawing pictures, writing letters, listening to music, etc.) in addition to mathematical
calculations.
2. A calculator cannot hold previous results or remember the calculation, whereas a
computer can remember the result of calculation.
