The latest release of our free 3-band Baxandall equalizer, now enhanced
with additional features.

BasiQ2 is an update of our Baxandall Simple Equalizer, a free 3-band

equalizer plugin. This simple and straightforward tone shaping tool is
modeled after the style of a classic shelving Baxandall Equalizer,
renowned for its slick slope and natural-sounding filter. We overhauled the
whole engine, interface, and also added new features for this multi-
purpose tone adjustment device.

BasiQ2’s straightforward controls allow you to add presence, clear the

mids, or boost the bass as necessary. It is suitable for mixing and mastering
purposes with its neutral and wide bandwidth where it’s more beneficial as
a sweetening tool than as a surgical or corrective EQ.

Note for MacOS X users: you will be asked for your password upon installation.

For Mac installer(.pkg) format, double-click the installer and follow the instructions. The installer automatically point to your
Mac’s default VST/VST3/AU/AAX plug-ins and Standalone path (see below). Alternatively you can customize the installation
target to specific folder.

Here are the default folders installation path for each of our supported platforms in Mac OSX:

• Mac Audio Unit (BasiQ2.component) : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

• Mac VST (BasiQ2.vst) : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Kuassa/
• Mac VST3 (BasiQ2.vst3) : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
• Mac AAX (BasiQ2.aaxplugin) : /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/

Windows VISTA or later

For Windows Installer (.exe), double-click the installer and follow the instructions. The installer automatically points to your
system's default plugins path (see below). Alternatively you can point the installation target to specific folder. Most VST
host already have a “Plugins” or “VSTplugins” folder inside its installation directory, or you can point the host to read any
folder you choose.

Here are the default folders installation path for each of our supported platforms:

• Windows 64-bit VST (BasiQ2.dll) : C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\Kuassa\

• Windows 64-bit VST3 (BasiQ2.vst3) : C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\
• Windows 64-bit AAX (BasiQ2.aaxplugin) : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\
Mac OSX 10.11 or later
On a Mac, simply delete the plug-in located on the corresponding Plug-ins folder, and delete other folders and file resources
located at,
Folders:
• /Library/Application Support/Kuassa/Default Presets/BasiQ2/
• /Users/[User Name]/Music/Kuassa/Presets/BasiQ2/
Files:
• /Library/Application Support/Kuassa/Misc/BasiQ2 EULA.txt
• /Library/Application Support/Kuassa/User Manuals/BasiQ2.pdf
• /Users/[User Name]/Music/Kuassa/Settings/BasiQ2.setting

Windows VISTA or Later

Use “Add/Remove programs” or “Programs and Features” from the Windows Control Panel. If BasiQ2 Equalizer does not listed,
delete the .dll/.vst3/.aaxplugin file from your VST plug-in folder. After Uninstallation, manually delete other Equalizer file
resources at,
Folder:
• C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\Kuassa\Presets\BasiQ2\
Files:
• C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\Kuassa\Settings\BasiQ2.setting

8 POWER BUTTON: Enables or disables the plugin processing.

9 LPF SWITCH: Enables or disables the Low-Pass Filter knob.

13 10 LPF (LOW PASS FILTER): Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the Low-pass filter.

11 LOW: Adjusts the low shelf EQ. The center frequency is approximately 100 Hz.

12 MID: Adjusts the mid-peak EQ. The center frequency is approximately 400 Hz.

14 13 HIGH: Adjusts the high shelf EQ. The center frequency is approximately 1000 Hz.

14 HPF SWITCH: Enables or disables the High-Pass Filter knob.

16 15 HPF (HIGH PASS FILTER): Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the High-pass filter.

16 OUTPUT: Controls the plugin's output level.

17 A/B COMPARE: Compares two different settings. Click the letters to switch
between settings or click the arrow to copy settings from A to B or vice versa.
