  From our researchwe have decided that our main actress should be a Caucasian female with a vintage look. This is because we found that the pop genre is dominated by white women. We feel that we need our artist to promote a glamorous look through what they wear- so therefore costume will be important.
• 3.
  Most of thefemale artists from the pop genre have glamorous and styled hair not just vibrant colours and shades but often with elaborate hair styles. So we think our actress should have a hair colour which stands out and will emphasise her glamour to our target audience. We thought that either blonde or red hair would work as they connote fun and have symbolism of energy

  We have hada range of artists to select from to contact to take part in our music video. We used a casting website to find our range of female artists which we think may fit the requirements of our music video.

  This artist wouldhave been ideal because of her light hair and dark skin tone. We believe that she has the glamorous look including long hair which gave her the characteristics of being the ideal candidate for our artist. However once we contacted her she didn’t reply to us to let us know if she will be available to film with us or star in our music video. This was another candidate for our potential artist. A positive aspect of her is that she was tall and she has a feisty approach in her pictures which means she will be the best candidate to perform a role as a powerful and independent woman. But we couldn't’t use her because this artist wasn’t available for filming till later in the new year.

  This was anotherone of our potential artists who we believed that had the right characteristics to fit our artist role. She had light eyes, petite figure and a acceptable height. However, because we were looking for someone with a a vibrant hair colour and we found candidates with coloured hair we didn’t contact this candidate.

  We decided tocontact Natasha to star as the main artist in our music video because we believe that she met our requirements. For example, she is a caucasian female with a vibrant hair colour which is different to the other actors we found. In addition she was local to us and we believe that Natasha will be convenient for us. As a group we analysed Natasha's previous acting project and found that her acting was amazing because of the passion that she has for it.
