WHAT IS HACKING?
The process of attempting to gain unauthorized access to computer resources is called hacking.
WHO IS A HACKER?
Hacker is someone who seeks or exploits weakness in a computer system
Why do hackers hack ?
 Just for fun.
 Show off.
 Steal important information.
 Destroy enemy’s computer network during the war.
Types of Hackers
 White Hat: One who gains access to system with a view to fix the identified
weakness.
 Cracker(Black hat): One who gains unauthorized access to computer
system for their interests. Usually to steal data, violate privacy, and transfer funds from
bank accounts.
 Gray Hat: A hacker who is between white and black hat hackers. They breaks
into computer without authority with a view to identify weakness and reveal them to
the system owner.
 Script kiddies: A non skilled person who gains access to computers using
already made tools.
 Hacktivist: A hacker who use hacking to send social, religious and political
messages. This is usually done by hijacking websites and leaving message on that
website.

Ethical hacking is where a person hacks to find weaknesses in a system and then usually
patches them.

Email hacking is illicit access to an email account or email correspondence.
Password Hacking
Password Hacking Password cracking is the process of recovering secret passwords from data
that has been stored in or transmitted by a computer system.
Online Banking Hacking
Online banking Hacking Unauthorized accessing bank accounts without
knowing the password or without permission of account holder is known as
Online banking hacking.

Computer Hacking is when files on your computer are viewed, created, or
edited without your authorization.
ADVANTAGES OF HACKING
