CAPHC is a non-profit association representing children hospitals and health centers across
Canada. Its mission is to improve health services for children, youth and their families across
Canada. As part of that mission CAPHC created a Knowledge Exchange Network based on XWiki
to develop and share best practices in health service delivery to children.
Context
CAPHC wanted an interactive, online community focused on sharing and growing knowledge in child
and youth health service delivery. As a result the CAPHC Knowledge Exchange Network (CAPHC-KEN)
was created. The CAPHC-KEN seeks to engage practitioners, patients, families, researchers and other
stakeholders in a common knowledge exchange community.
Needs
CAPHC needed a solution that would:
 provide an easy way to identify and share practices
 present the community with simple tools for sharing knowledge
 speed up the process of adding new content
 be used as a tool to gather feedback
 provide notifications about the discussions taking place
Sector: healthcare
