Doechii recovers after falling down slide on ‘Life from the Swamp Tour’ in NYC

Rapper Doechii manages to bounce back from a brief blip at her recent concert in New York City as she was in the East Coast city for a stop on her Life from the Swamp tour

Rapper Doechii didn't miss a beat despite having a mini-blunder while performing on the New York City stop on her Life from the Swamp Tour.

The pop culture-centric X(fka Twitter) account recently shared a snippet from the recent performance where the Grammy-winning rhymer, 27, was rapping her hit song Denial is a River on top of a large production structure on stage. Doechii was captured using a slide attached to the high set piece she was standing on in order to get off the structure on to the stage floor. Within seconds of her trying to get on the slide she looses her footing, and comes down the slide on her stomach butt first to the audience.

Despite the awkward slip-up that the beloved rap star Doechii had, she managed to keep rapping without issue, getting up continuing on with the concert after having a slight tumble.

Social media erupted with reactions to Doechii's performance blip, specifically on X. While some blamed the concert's stage design, others praised her recovery.

"Kinda agree that stage design is key, but honestly, this is just a reminder that live performance risks are real! From what I've seen, artists like Pink are doing literal aerial acrobatics, suspended with cables, as part of their act. Should stage props be safer, or is some level of spectacle-risk just part of the show nowadays?" one user shared on X.

Another X user mentioned, "Doechii turning a wardrobe malfunction into a full-on comedy special? QUEEN OF THE SWAMP ENERGY! That recovery had me cackling louder than the crowd. Who's ready for the blooper reel tour edition? #LiveFromTheSwamp."

Meanwhile one person wrote, "That's a true professional! She didn't let a little slide stop the show. The Swamp Princess bounced right back."

A fourth added, "an iconic fall and an iconic recovery, and her laugh after getting up just said “we fall, we slay, we get back up.”

Someone else mentioned, "Nothing says 'tour life' like face-planting in public and bouncing back like it’s part of the act. NYC didn’t just get a concert they got a full stunt show, and Doechii delivered every moment."

One other noted: "Wow, that's wild! Glad she's okay! I saw a clip, and honestly, that slide looked super steep for a stage prop, Did they say if she finished the set after?"
