Directed by Simon Stone, the film stars Keira Knightley as Laura Blacklock, Guy Pearce as Richard Bullmer, David Ajala as Ben Morgan and Gitte Witt as Carrie. Other stars include Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Hannah Waddingham and Kaya Scodelario.

On X, many fans shared their excitement for the movie, with one writing, "If you want a great triller to watch, The Woman in Cabin 10 on Netflix is 10/10." Another agreed, "Yasss it was a good watch." One more added, "The Woman in cabin 10. Love it. Watch that movie guys."

However, others were less enthusiastic. "It's watchable. But not even close to 10/10 lol," one posted, while another said, "10/10 is pushing it a bit still. It's good but not GOOD."

Someone else said, "The leading lady in the woman in cabin 10 movie has no survival instincts to the point where I genuinely thing they intentionally are trying to p--- the viewers off." Another viewer tweeted, "I also watched The Woman in Cabin 10… the main character annoyed me because girl!!!!….you're on a boat on international waters with millionaires. I do not care what weird stuff you saw, you better act normal until you get on dry land???"

With a 28% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the thriller has received harsh criticism by experts who have shared their disappointment with the plot. Dustin Rowles of Pajiba said, "It's a miserable movie -- poorly written, poorly adapted, and acted by a cast that seems half-asleep, probably because they've been given so little to work with."

"The Woman in Cabin 10 had potential to be a compelling murder mystery but unravels with a plot that keeps sinking to new depths," wrote Jeffrey Lyles of Lyles' Movie Files. Randy Myers of San Jose Mercury News said, "Director Simon Stone seems lost about what to do with this contrived premise and fails to take advantage of its natural claustrophobic nature."

"While there are some nail-biting moments in here, the writing is too shallow and predictable to make this a memorable watch," wrote Gavia Baker-Whitelaw of Inverse. Kevin Maher, a critic from The Times newspaper, gave The Woman in Cabin 10 a score of three out of five and said, "This is murder and intrigue on the high seas with just a handful of unintentional laughs attached."
