Six Kings Slam prize money explained as Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner face off in $6M final
Once again, world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will meet in a tennis final at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with millions of dollars on the line
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are set to do battle again.
After dominating the Grand Slams, facing off in three of the four major finals, the top two men’s players in the world will meet in the final of the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh. The event features six of the top men's stars in the sport competing in a single-elimination tournament, with the winner receiving a total payout of $6 million.
Each of the participants is guaranteed a $1.5 million appearance fee, and the quarterfinals played out as Sinner defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas despite a fan rushing the court, while Taylor Fritz ousted Alexander Zverev. Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic received an automatic bye. Notably, the $1.5M is believed to be the only payout any participant besides the eventual winner will receive.
Then, Alcaraz defeated Fritz to reach the final, and Sinner joined his great rival by dispatching Djokovic, who has no plans to retire. The final is set to be broadcast on Netflix, and while it’s not a major title, there is plenty at stake.
Alcaraz won a thriller at the French Open before Sinner got his revenge at Wimbledon.
The Spaniard came out on top in New York, winning the U.S. Open to reclaim world No. 1 status.
Sinner is the defending champion at this event, defeating Alcaraz in three sets last year. Djokovic met Rafael Nadal in the third-place match, with the Serbian getting the win in two sets.
While the event has been met with criticism for its placement on a physically demanding calendar, players are happy to participate in the Six Kings Slam. Alcaraz insisted the three-set dynamic isn’t too strenuous, while Fritz is blown away by how much money is on offer for relatively little action.

“I’d love for them to show me a tournament where you can go play three matches — well, for the top two seeds, two matches — and potentially make $6 million,” Fritz told reporters on Tuesday.
“I’d love to hear that from them.”
The $6 million payout to the Six Kings Slam winner is higher than any ATP or WTA event. The U.S. Open boasted the largest grand-prize payout of the season, with Alcaraz taking home $5 million.
Meanwhile, the combined payouts for another two majors, the Australian Open ($2.3 million) and the French Open ($2.9 million), pale in comparison to the Six King Slam’s money for the winner. The Wimbledon champion took home just over $4 million.
The Six Kings Slam final between Alcaraz and Sinner will begin on Saturday, Oct. 18, following the 12:30 p.m. ET clash for third place, featuring Djokovic and Fritz. Both showdowns will be streamed on Netflix.
