Jodie Whittaker currently plays the 13th Doctor, currently travelling with Yaz, played by Mandip Gill and Dan, played by John Bishop. Whittaker's final episode of the show will air later in 2022. From 2023, Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa will become the 14th Doctor and will be the show's 60th anniversary year, helmed by returning show runner Russell T Davies.
