Along with Ferrari, McLaren is one of Formula 1's most recognisable and historic brands and one of the most successful outfits in the sport's long history.

Founded by Bruce McLaren, the team first racing in F1 at the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix and has gone on to win nine constructors' titles and enjoy 12 drivers' championship victories. Many of the sport's most famous faces have represented the outfit, including the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Niki Lauda and Fernando Alonso.

After a long barren run, McLaren finally ended their long wait since 1998 for an F1 constructors' championship success in 2024. They saw off the challenges of rivals Ferrari and Red Bull with multiple victories from drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Brit Norris led their charge, though he missed out on the drivers' title to Max Verstappen.

McLaren, led by team principal Andrea Stella and larger-than-life chief executive Zak Brown, head into the 2025 season with the same driver line-up determined to not only defend their teams' title but also see one either Norris or Piastri crowned as drivers' champion by the end of the year.
