Jack Fincham has interrupted Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins to defend his dog Elvis after the canine attacked two people. The former Love Island star appeared on ITV's breakfast show to speak about his recent struggles with drug addiction when hosts Charlotte and Adil Ray asked about the recent criminal case regarding his dog Elvis.

Earlier this month, Jack was given a three-month suspended sentence for being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog after his black cane corso Elvis bit a runner in Kent in September 2022 before attacking a woman in Essex in June last year.

Speaking about Elvis' behaviour on Good Morning Britain, Jack said: "I hold my hands up - by the way, Elvis is the most beautiful dog. I've never seen his show any signs of aggression," he said, with Charlotte adding: "He did attack two people though."

Jack continued: "They're a very protective breed of dog so I completely hold my hands up. I should have just made sure that the door was closed behind me. I walked out and in the first instance it was to get something out of my mum's car and the second incident, it was getting something out the boot of the car again. He just slipped behind me.

"But he's got great recall. Both times I called him back and he came straight away. In both instances, it was my mistake - I should have kept the door closed, it's not fair on them and I can only apologise for it."

Charlotte then asked whether it could happen again, Jack interrupted to say: "No." Charlotte continued: "His life is essentially in your hands now because if anything else happens, he will be destroyed."

Jack responded: "As I was saying, he was protecting myself on the driveway on both occasions, I would never walk around with a dog of that size off the lead. It's my mistake and I'm paying for it - so is Elvis unfortunately.

"I am responsible for Elvis. That's the sad thing. I love that dog more than anything in the world. We've stayed in hotels together, we've stayed around the country together. I love him so much and I just feel like I've let him down."

Earlier this week, Jack revealed that he couldn't wait for Elvis to be returned to him after swerving prison time. Along with a professional photo taken of him with Elvis, he wrote: "See you soon big guy [heart emoji]. Can't wait to have you home x."
