Ross King has opening up about Dani Dyer being forced to quit Strictly Come Dancing, shedding light the heatbreaking moments before the injury. The Love Island winner, 29. withdrew from the new series of the BBC programme before the live shows have even launched after suffering a fractured ankle in rehearsals.
Now, showbiz guru Ross, 63, has described how she was feeling before it all took place and admitted that even though it is all very intense behind the scenes, she was so looking forward to hitting the dancefloor.
During an appearance on Wednesday's Lorraine, he said: "As much as it's a TV show and we're all loving the training, it's eight hours a day and there's a lot to it. She was so looking forward to it, she was smiling away and couldn't believe she was there."
When Lorraine asked if Dani, who is the daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, would be welcome back next year, Ross said: "Yeah, I'm sure they would love to have her back. Get well soon, Dani."
