Aims and objectives of creation of pakistan
INTRODUCTION Along with the taking over of Britishers of India, the infinite chain of atrocities on Muslims started. With the help of different movements and organizations efforts were made either to convert the Muslims into Hindus or to throw them out of India. Under these conditions, Muslims demanded for a separate Islamic homeland which was approved on June 3, 1947. And Pakistan came into being on August 14, 1947. REASONS There are following reasons for the demand of creation of Pakistan. 1. TWO-NATION THEORY There were two big nations in India i.e. Hindus and Muslims. They had different ways of spending life. Their religious worshipping were entirely different. Their customs, habits, traditions, culture and civilizations were cons to each other. Quite often, the hero of one nation thought to be the worst enemy of the other nation. That was such an ideological difference, which was creating many complications and problems. To be safe from them creation of Pakistan was inevitable. 2. DESIRE FOR THE CREATION OF AN ISLAMIC STATE The non Muslim nations had made life difficult for the Muslims after taking over India. On that a desire of separate homeland produced in the hearts of Muslims so that they could live happily and freely. This desire got strength gradually along with the atrocities of Hindus and Britishers which ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan. 3. ILL TREATMENT OF BRITISHERS Britishers were friends of Hindus. They snatched away the estates and jobs from Muslims and either gave them to. Hindus or kept with themselves. They badly attacked on Muslim's religion, culture and civilization. But Hindus were not a part of these attacks. This ill-treatment of Britishers became a major cause of the creation of Pakistan. 4. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ISLAM AND HINDUISM Because of the coming of Islam, the spreading of Hinduism was stopped. Hindus started many movements like Bhagti, Shadhi and Sangthan to stop thepreaching and spreading of Islam. This caused the starting of Hindu-Muslim riots. So this historical conflict caused the creation of Pakistan. 5. ADVERTISEMENT OF BRITISH DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTES British Government started to develop the British democratic system in India. According to that Muslims were to be made slaves of Hindus for ever. This system was in reality the system of imperialism in which majority had law on its back for its illegal work. Under these conditions Muslims had no way except to demand for Pakistan. 6. HINDU DESIRE OF FORMATION OF RAM RAJ With the ending of Islamic government, Hindus started their movement like, Bhagti, Shadhi and Sangthan for the formation of Ram Raj. The aim of these movements was to convert the Muslims into Hindus. In 1937, the ministries of
Congress in eight provinces made every effort to do so. The desire of Ram Raj was one of the major reasons of the creation of Pakistan. 7. TORTURES.OF CONGRESS MINISTRIES 1936-37 The Congress ministries formed in 1937, started some schemes like: Wardha and Wadia Mandar Educational Scheme to convert the Muslim Children; dismissal of Muslims from their jobs; ban on sacrificing cow; worshipping the picture of Gandhi, and a compulsory salute to the flag of Congress. These policies made the tortures and atrocities of Congress quite visible and Muslims due to these steps of Congress started to think about a separate homeland. 8. MUSLIMS' DESIRE OF FREEDOM Freedom is the right of evbry man living in any society, of every country. After losing freedom, Muslims were bound to be subjective to Britishers and Hindus. They demanded for a separate country under these conditions. Actually, it was the natural desire of Muslims as their religion teacher them so . This education of freedom became the cause of creation of Pakistan . 9. SAFETY OF MUSLIM CULTURE AND CIVILIZATION Muslim culture and civilization were in great danger after the coming of Britishers. Britishers with a planned conspiracy tried to damage the effects of Islamic culture. On that Muslims demanded for the safety and protection of their traditions. 10. SAFETY OF URDU LANGUAGE Literal meaning of Urdu is of "Lashkar" i.e. army. It was started during the victories of Muslims on South India. Later on, it had a chance of growingduring the Muslim rule which lasted for 1000 years. Urdu was a sure-part of Islamic civilization. Its safety was the safety of Islamic civilization and it was obligatory on Muslims to protect it. Firstly Muslims took steps for the safety of Urdu then they demanded Pakistan. After the creation of Pakistan, Urdu was made the official language of Pakistan. 11. SECURITY OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION Allama Iqbal said: "Islam always protected Muslims but Muslims did not protect Islam." It is clear from this quotation that one of the reasons of Muslim down-fall in the 18th century was negligence from Islamic education. In the 20th century for the protection and safety of Islamic education Muslims demanded for Pakistan. They got Pakistan and hence got rid of Hindus and their conspiracies. 12. NEED OF UNITY OF ISLAMIC WORLD God says in the Holy Quran: Hold the rope of God tightly and do not indulge in disunion." It is clear from this Ay at that God has made it a must for the Muslims of the world to be united. In the 20th century the Usmania Khilaphate was destroyed after the World War in Turkey and power of Muslims was shattered. In this atmosphere it was necessary to unite the Muslims of the world. So Muslims of the sub-continent for this purpose struggled hard and got Pakistan as a free and Islamic state. 13. ROLE AND EFFECTS OF KHILAFAT MOVEMENT Due to Khijafat Movement, feelings of unity and freedom were produced among the Muslims. That was the fervor that united the Muslims of India. That union of Muslims proved successful in the shape of Pakistan. 14. ROLE AND EFFECTS OF ALIGARH MOVEMENT
After Hindi-Urdu conflict, Sir Ahmed Khan did many works for the progress of Muslims which were famous by the name of Aligarh Movement. Due to this movement a portion of Muslim society not only got educated but they were also educated in political affairs. These educated class played the main role in the creation of Pakistan. In short because of the efforts of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Pakistan became a reality.
