2 Remove front end cross member together AR88.00-D-2302A
with front grille
3 Remove front bumper AR88.20-D-2000C
4.1 Remove condenser i Only if code (HH9) air conditioning fitted AR83.30-D-6540B
5.1 Disconnect and detach lines at oil cooler i Only with code (G40) automatic
transmission.
6 Detach charge air hose (11) at turbocharger
7 Detach charge air hose (4) at air intake pipe
(HFM)
8 Detach coolant hoses (8, 9, 10) at coolant i Collect coolant which flows out
expansion reservoir, at radiator and at i Installation: Check condition of hose
connection of coolant pump clamps, replace if necessary.
9 Unplug connector (7) at coolant level sensor
10 Detach cooling loop of Steering at radiator i Place to the side with connected lines
11 Remove radiator trim on left (2) and on right i Attached by screws at bottom, inserted at
(1) top.
12 Lift complete radiator unit (12) up and out of i Carry out the following steps (12 - 19) only
the rubber grommets (3) in the body if parts of the radiator unit are to be replaced.
13 Remove top radiator trim (14)
14 Detach charge air cooler (15) at radiator (17)
15 Remove bottom radiator trim (16)
16 Detach coolant hoses (21, 22) at radiator (17) i Installation: Check condition of hose
clamps, replace if necessary.
17 Detach coolant pipe (20) together with coolant
hoses at fan shroud (18)
18 Take off fan shroud (18) at radiator (17)
19 Install in the reverse order
g Inspect
20 Inspect cooling system for leaks AR20.00-D-1010C
