I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:
 Create Bootable USB drive for Windows 7 using Rufus application
 Demonstrate bios setup of the computer
 Perform the Installation of Windows 7

Topic: Installation preparation and OS installation procedure.
References: Internet
Materials: desktop, projector, PowerPoint
Grade 10 Zebulon 3:00 to 4:00 pm

C. Presentation of the Lesson

1. Create bootable USB drive for
Windows 7 using Rufus Application.

1. Open rufus then locate the file.


2. Select the ISO image.

3. Then choose win7all then click open.

4. Now click on Start, then click ok

5. Wait until will finish the copying.

6. Now you are done.


2. Demonstrate the bios setup of the
computer

1. Use ↓/↑key to select "1st Drive", hit


"Enter" key.

2. Go on enter Boot Settings, then see the


Boot Device Priority item.

3. Enter Hard Disk Drives.

4. Select "USB: Kingston DTG(2G)" and


press "Enter" to set the USB Flash drive as
the first bootable option.
5. Now the USB Flash Drive is the first boot
device.

6. Press "F10" to save and exit it, then select


"OK" and press "Enter" key, the computer
will reboot and boot from USB.

functional platform to boot loader, so it
can load the OS.
