User Manual

1. College Registration
The URL http://pue.kar.nic.in/ is the home page of DEPARTMENT OF PRE
UNIVERSITY EDUCATION, KARNATAKA.
This provides the option ‘User Registration’ to enable the students to register on
the portal for PUC
Open the browser and enter the website URL http://pue.kar.nic.in/

New Registration:
Click on the “New Registration” from Student Corner for on-line registration
of College User Application. (For Principal)
A preliminary registration form is displayed on the screen, for the Principal to
fill-up the registration form
(User to use Tab Key for moving next option OR next box)
As shown in the below keyboard:

The user will be directed to the registration page and the user will fill the
following fields for further validation.
Username : Mandatory It Contains Principal with College Code (Ex :
ppl_an014)(Enter ppl then press Shift key and( _ ) minus key Symbol
College code (Shift key and( _ ) minus key ).
Secret Key: Mandatory the user has to enter Secret key which is
“dpue”.
Password: Mandatory, should be between 8 – 14 characters,
alphabets and should contain at least one special character & Number.

How to Enter Shift key along with special character.
Example: on keyboard select 1 to 0 one of these.
Follow that Picture.
When you press Shift Key once for
one set of Characters, press once
again for another set of characters,
and third time to go back to normal
mode.

(Special Character Example Symbols: @, #, $, %, &, *, +, -, /,) in the key
board, (Select any One).
HOW to Enter this:
For Special Character (Press Shift KEY + Any special character which
appears on the keyboard) Like (Ex: Shift + @)
(Ex: password@123).
Confirms Password – Mandatory, The user has to enter the same
password as entered above.
Email Address -- Not mandatory, should be valid E-mail ID.
Security Question – Mandatory, The user needs to select any one
question available in the drop down box.
Secret Answer – Mandatory.
Captcha -- This is mandatory and the user has to type in the numeric
code which appears on the screen
Click on ‘REGISTER’. If it is success, user will be navigated to the
“Registration successful” screen.

2. Login Detail
After successful registration, Principal has to make on-line entry of the
Application details.
Principal has to log-in using provided Username and Password.
For log-in, either
Click on “Go to PUC Portal and Login” displayed just below the
generated Username and Password.
Click on “Registered Principal Login” from the Puc Portal Login.
The Screen after the above operation looks like:-

College code (Shift along with _ (minus) Symbol District Code (an,
mm,..) then College code 014 ).
Example – (ppl_an014)
Secret Key: Mandatory the user has to enter Secret key which is
“dpue”.
Password: Mandatory, should be between 8 – 14 characters, alphabets
and should contain at least one special character & Number
Captcha -- This is mandatory and the user has to type in the numeric
code which appears on the screen.
Click on ‘LOGIN’. If it is successful, user will be navigated to the
“Welcome to the PUC online Portal” screen. Shown in below.

3. Student New Enrolment:
In menu Click “Student” then
Click – “New Enrolment”
New Student information application form will open.
Click – “View Enrolled List”.
This will shows total Entered Student’s List.
Click – “Print Checklist”.
This shows total Entered student basic information (Student Enrolment
checklist).
Click – “Fee Payment”.
This shows total abstract of Government Fee Remitted.
Click – “Submit PU Admin”.
This shows total Enrolled/ photo uploaded, checklist, generated, total enrolment
submitted.

4. Filling the Application form for 1st PU Students.
Follow these Steps while filling the form - (Instructions)
1. Application Serial Number: Mandatory Enter Application Serial
number. (From 1,2,3,4.....)
2. Student Name – Mandatory, Only alphabets, limited to 30 characters.
3. Father Name – Mandatory, Only alphabets, limited to 30 characters.
4. Mother Name – Mandatory, Only alphabets, limited to 30 characters.
5. Gender -- Mandatory, Select gender Male or Female or Trans
6. Date of Birth – Mandatory, select the date from the calendar provided,
and should match the date as DD/MM/YYYY format.
7. Category - Mandatory, dropdown, options available are based on
selection of category.
8. Physical Condition — Not Mandatory, dropdown, options available are
based on selection of category, Normal Candidate can leave this Option.
9. Religion-- Mandatory, dropdown, options available are based on selection
of category.
10.Parent's Mobile No. – Not Mandatory Enter the Parent’s mobile Number.
11.UID (Aadhaar) No -- Not Mandatory Aadhaar Number Should be 12
Digits Numbers.
12.Email Address. (optional)-- Not Mandatory Enter Valid E-mail id.
13.Student's Mobile No -- Not Mandatory Enter the Student’s mobile Number.

14. SSLC / X STD Register No – Mandatory Enter SSLC / X STD Register No,
As per original Marks Card.
(Ex: 20120470289).
15. SSLC / X STD Exam Session – Mandatory. User selects from the option
provided.
OR
16. Year of Passing SSLC / X STD – Mandatory , Enter the year of passing ,
As per original MARKS CARD.
Ex: Year of passing 2014.
17. SSLC / X STD Qualifying Examination – Mandatory ,select any one option
in drop down list box.
18. Subject Combination – Mandatory, select any one option shown below.

19. Medium – Mandatory Select the option in the dropdown list box.
20. Language – I – Mandatory Select the assessment language from the
Dropdown box (Do not select same language twice that is language I & II)

medium student has studied from the

1st PU Students .

5. Prescribed Fee Details
Button 1: Click here for Science
Students
Button 2: Click here for Late
Admission fine/special fine
After filling the Details
Click Submit Button
You have to enter the fees in this form for new students.
Total fees will be automatically calculated no need to enter.
For science students click the Button 1 shown in the above picture.
For late admission fine/special fine click the Button 2 shown in the above
picture.

6. To upload Photograph
Click on “Upload Photo” option, displayed on of the screen.

Scanned Form
This form should be scanned as jpeg image (150dpi) for uploading
of Photo to the PUC Portal, scan his/her passport size photograph and
save it in JPG/JPEG format. The file size has to be less than 50Kb)
Click on “Upload Passport Size Photograph” and browse to select the
scanned photo file to be uploaded from the desired location then click
“upload”.
Note: This form should be scanned as jpeg image (150dpi) for
upload

has been uploaded successfully” as below.

On successful uploading of Copy of Photo and Signature , Click on
“Large View” for display of certificate uploaded to PUC Portal.

7. View the Students Enrolled list
This page can be used to view the student details which are in the record.
Click here to View Enrolled List
It shows enrolled student lists. You can view the status of checklist
generated, Submit PU Admin.
Select from Letter A to Z to view student Enrolled list in sorted Order.
If you want to View entered data, you have to click view button.

If you want to take print out of the Enrolled Students data click here for
print.

If you have any corrections in the final data which you have entered, then
you have to click Edit button after that click submit button given in the
below screen.

you have to enter fees after that click submit button given in the below
screen.

If you did any mistake while uploading photo, you have to click Upload
button, click Download form Template.

Note: This form should be scanned as jpeg image (150dpi) for upload
Take proper Student
signature
Paste Recent passport size photo only with in the
box.Do not staple or pin. Principal should not
sign on the photo.

If you have done any mistake while entering data, then you have to click
Delete button after that click Yes button given below screen.
If click “YES” button delete the particular
Enrolled Student. If click “NO” button it’s go
to Enrolled Student list.

If you want to change password first open this page and select change
password as shown below.
Enter the current password and then create new password and confirm
password
Click change password button.
Please follow these detail steps shown below.
Enter old password, new password, confirm password and click submit.

Current password -- Mandatory, Enter old password.
New password -- Mandatory Enter new password.
Confirm password -- Mandatory Enter confirm password.

This is login history which shows the details who have entered the login
page with their System IP address.
