Job Description:
Prescient has an opening for an experienced and passionate Software Tester to assess software quality
through manual and automated testing. He/she will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and
glitches. The role requires in-depth understanding of cloud-based Software Product testing, expertise in
QA automation, functional and non-functional testing.
Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a QA tester with attention to detail. Ability to
carry out all kinds of testing including functional & non-functional automated and manual testing, stress
testing and performance testing. Someone from product engineering testing background would be huge
plus.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze system specifications
Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution,
quality assurance and issue tracking.
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results.
Report bugs and errors to development teams.
Planning/organizing necessary test passes, staying on top of all-important issues, help triaging
bugs and driving issues to resolutions and keeping everyone aware of QA status.
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
Evaluate product code according to specifications.
Work with different teams (Engineering/PM/Support) to collect necessary information to assure
the QA coverage, and provide feedback on quality issues.
Assess the status of the release and help make sure that the release goes out on time with high
quality level.
Create and support test dashboards/reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor or master’s degree in computer application.
Minimum 3 years and Maximum 5 years Quality Assurance experience in testing web or mobile
applications
Ability to construct test cases and get them prioritized based on changes.
Sound Knowledge of test development methodology.
Possesses extensive knowledge and experience in testing Cloud Based solutions.
Possesses extensive knowledge and experience in testing APIs, Service End Points in distributed
Systems.
Experience with testing front-end and backend APIs of Web and Batch applications.
Experience in Agile (SCRUM, KANBAN, LEAN and XP) methodologies on large complex projects.
Good working knowledge of Agile tools like JIRA.
Good understanding with test tools such as Selenium/WebDriver, BDD/TDD frameworks.
Experience on continuously deploying and scheduling tests using Bamboo/Jenkins/GIT.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred experience in Java and/or PHP.
