To also monitor alarm and


warning messages from Backup,
you must select the
Monitor Backup check box.

If you select DP Class 3, (using


the DP Class dialog box),
Monitor Backup is automatically
selected and Class 3 is
indicated.

Special messages when Monitor Backup is selected

• If the Backup system is not running or if there is a problem


communicating with the Backup system:
Backup PS communication error

• When communication is established with the Backup system:


Backup PS communication OK

• If difference between a measurement from the Backup system differs


from the same measurement on the Main system by more than the
configured limit:
Backup difference (Gyro, Wind, Current estimate, VRS, Rotation centre etc.)

• If a status difference is detected between the Main and Backup


systems or if a Backup status is not OK:
Backup status (Thruster status, Gyro status, VRS status, Waiting mode etc.)
