• In what competition did Solis send in his plagiarized work?

-In Photography Competition.

• What sanctions did he receive from the organizing committee? Describe his actions.

• Do you think technology and the internet have made plagiarism easier? Do you think technology has
made people more or less creative? Explain your answer by citing examples.

-Yes, I think technology has made people less creative, like for example you go to google.com and search
for the picture you want to draw you can easily see just by typing what ever you want to copy.

b. Second article: “UP grad in photo plagiarism gets redemption”

• According to the article, how did Solis redeem himself? What job did he have?

-Solis takes a 2 years working with children and he is a different person now according to Mayorga. Solis
plodged to continue working with the program to promote Calida Humana.

• What project did he help?

A book that he help that contains intellectual framework aimed at understanding and strengthening the
concept.

• What is there to learn about the life of Solis?

-Think before you click, don't copy the others effort and make your own work, creativity, make your
imagination widely.

Case 2: Cyber Bullying

2. After reading, answer the following questions:

• What did Carabuena do that made netizens angry?

-Carabuena do that made nitezens angry is he allegedly abuse the traffic inforcer.

• Describe the acts of cyber bullying that the netizens did to Carabuena. Do you think their actions are
justifiable? Defend your answer.

-The netizens speaks for the traffic inforcer who can't speak because of the abuse he recieve. And yes
because they help the traffic inforcer and they speak for him. But to other people it might be bad
because they would theat the person who do bully.

• How did the incident affect Carabuena’s life?

The incedent affect Carabuena's life is he was rushed to the hospital cause of his actions.

• Do you think technology and the Internet has made bullying easier?

-This is the big yes, let's go to facebook app we will see the people judgements, laugh of the people and
bully about the the person or people personalities that has no power or can't even speak about the
things that they want to fight but because of internet users they are ashamed about their self.

• Give one suggestion to avoid cyber bullying. Give one suggestion to avoid being a cyber bully.

-To prevent cyber bullying avoid posting picture or giving some important infomation about yourself to
social media. To prevent being cyber bully think the consequence that might happen to you if you do
bully.

Case 3: Computer addiction

-There are still vast disparities between the internet access rate of boys and girls according to s. clement.

-I have a friend that so very addicted to video games, she eat disorlderly, she is lack of sleeps and her
studies been affected. But one day she realize that she need to study for her future and now I saw her
sometimes and she is healthy and studying hard.

• Give two pieces of advice from Tablets for Schools to avoid computer addiction.

For me, they can do activities by the help of books and dictionaries. Also, instead playing games online
why not play outside with you friends a physical activities.

-Possitive effects that shown to McKinsey Global Institute research is wealth and more jobs.

• Describe the internet connection status in the Philippines, in terms of number of people with internet
connection, the average internet broadband download speed compared to other countries, and the
average cost of monthly Internet services.

-Our neighbor are using Globe internet for atleast 2-3 years I think, but their internet is so slow. They
"chika" to me that they pay 1,300 every month but the internet they use is only for 15 days even if they
pay right and in time.

• How does the Philippines’ slow Internet connection affect the SMEs? Do you think a faster Internet
connection can promote better income for them? Explain your answer.

-SME's they might reply late to their costumers, if their internet connection is fast they can easily interact
to the people who want to buy their product or what so ever that they sell.

• Do you think commercial stores or offices should have websites? What are the advantages and
disadvantages that can you foresee?

Yes, the advantage of having website is more people can see your product aslo it will gonna help you to
promote your product and the disadvantage is there might be person wanted to scam you.
