Promotion and Marketing Report

The promotion of the innovation project was done entirely through social media platforms Facebook and WhatsApp. Videos and user manuals were created and uploaded to Facebook, Padlet, and Google Drive to provide information about the project and instructions on how to use it. Feedback was collected through Google Forms. The promotion received positive responses on social media from teachers in Malaysia and other countries who were interested in accessing and sharing the project with students and colleagues. Some constructive feedback was also received to improve the project, such as simplifying the language and adjusting the background music.

Promotion and Marketing Report

The promotion activity of this innovation project was done 100% through
social media. The social media apps that had chosen for this project are Facebook
and WhatsApp.

Before the project is being promoted through the social media that have
selected, I have created a Padlet and Google Drive folder as a platform to upload all
the materials easily. Besides, these platforms allow to upload file size that are more
than 25MB. Moreover, through this platform the users can refer back to these
platforms on fingertips. Moreover, I have also created a form by using Google Form
as shown in appendix 1 to collect the feedback from the user.

Next, I have also created a video for my project. This video is a combination
of brief introduction and steps that start from download the project in the link given,
insert video and run the project. This video will be uploaded on Facebook and Padlet.
The purpose of creating this video is to give a clearer picture to the targeted group
,which is teachers, parents and pupils when using the project. Besides, a user
manual was also created to guide the user while using the project.

When posted on social media, I give a brief description for the project as
shown in appendix. I have also used dual language, which is Mandarin and English
for different group when I promote my product at Facebook. Besides, this promotion
not only targeted in Malaysia, I have also promoted my product at groups that have
different country teacher so that it is more globalize. Moreover, I have also mention
that this project is full funded without charges.

Throughout the WhatsApp, I have received great response from my other

friends and also my previous practicum school for the promotional work. Most of the
feedback received were all interested in getting the innovation product and able to
help the pupils or their children in learning the topic of angle. The feedbacks are
shown in appendix 2.

For Facebook, I have also received good response from the teacher (refer
appendix 3). In addition, there is one teacher from other country was interested in the
project and have asked permission to share my project to the colleagues in school.
However, due to the syllabus may differ from other country and hence, I advised the
teacher to modify it if necessary. so that it suits to their country’s learning standard.
Moreover, I have also received message from Messenger (an application for
messaging in Facebook) where they are interested in my product (refer appendix 2).
Furthermore, through my explanation on the product via WhatsApp and
Facebook, they have accessed the project based on the given link some of them also
given comment in Padlet as shown in appendix 4.

Although the response from these social medias were great, I have also
received a few suggestions to improvise the product. One of the teacher comments
that the language was quite difficult to the pupils that are weak. For example, in the
first question of quiz, I have used the sentence ‘How does angle form?’. The pupils
may have difficulties in understanding the meaning of form based on the teacher
experience. Hence, the teacher suggested to change it ‘What is the meaning of
angle?’. Besides, the teacher also suggested to improvise the question such as
‘What is the angle in the picture given’, by add in the words ‘angle circled’ (refer
appendix 4). Moreover, one of my friends suggest that to add more background
music so that the music will not stop in a sudden. In addition, he also suggested that
the background music should be lowered as it covered the audio in video (refer
appendix 4).

In conclusion, the promotion activity for my project run smoothly. In addition, I

have also gained a little experience in the process of promoting the innovation
product for future used. Lastly, for the feedback given for improvisation, I have also
take it considered to improvise and modify the product to make it better.
