E. Expected Course Outcome
The course of Translation English-Indonesia is to fulfil the mid-level translator
graduate profile with Translated Books as the learning outcome.
F. Course Description
The course provides the students with the knowledge of translation strategies and practices. The
translation strategies are focused on discussing the theories taken from some journals in translation.
The practices are focused more on applying the translation strategies in translating religious, cultural,
and educational texts. Besides, it provides the students with the knowledge of translation quality
assessment (TQA).
G. Course Objective
Upon completion of the course, the students are expected to:
1. have the foundation knowledge of translation, including the definitions,
processes, roles, methods, and strategies.
2. apply the translation theories into translation practices.
3. identify acceptable interpretation in terms of accuracy, clarity, and
naturalness.
