Safety moment

In the event of an evacuation, everyone is required to


evacuate the building. Please take your belongings with you

• Introduce project management concepts and principles
• Provide hands-on experience in the use of project
management techniques and in the approaches used to
solve problems in the project environment

Friday or during weekends/holidays will be responded to on the following two

Lectures
• Lectures will be held on Zoom –Link available on D2L
• Lectures will be recorded.
• Some Lectures will be asynchronous (Please see course schedule).
• Students are expected to attend and actively participate in all lectures. If a
student cannot attend a lecture for any reason, it is the responsibility of
the student to keep up with the course material by connecting with
classmates and team members to discuss the topics covered in class.

• Group Project and Assignments must be submitted on time.

• Late submissions will not be graded and will receive a grade of 0.

• Each submission must be prepared and submitted in a legible, well-organized, and


professional manner.

Group Project – Case Study
ENGG 684 – GROUP Work – Case Study
Overview
The goal is to understand and challenge the state of current project management practices in the
literature, focusing on project delivery legal issues of importance to engineers and project managers. The
objectives of the team assignment are the following:
1. Experience and learn from project teamwork
2. Plan and implement a short-term research project
3. Understand research in the practice of project delivery
Expectations
Students must select their partners for this assignment (6 students per group). Each team will be
assigned a specific project delivery topic. The team will research a specific case study to use as
reference. From the case study, you will identify project delivery issues, and support your findings with
potential solutions from the construction/project management area. The written report will focus on your
analysis of the case study and the solutions found in the literature review.
