Overview Example: The Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) is quarterly held
to ensure the capability of the respective LGUs in the country and the government in
holistically preparing for earthquakes. Furthermore, it also helps to further increase
public knowledge in earthquake preparedness as it underpins securing public safety.
Objectives Example: The objective of the NSED is to enhance the understanding of participants
and the general public on the immediate steps to be undertaken when an earthquake
occurs. Moreover, it also serves as a systematic approach to review and revise the
approaches in earthquake preparedness.
