Project Title: Mental Health Promotion: Identifying and Emphasizing Mental Health

Problems and give Awareness among Individuals

Background of the idea

Our project’s purpose is to raise public awareness and provide individuals with information

on mental health and related problems. Nowadays, mental health issues are one of the

problems that are crucial to have attention in our society. A lot of individuals go through

mental health problems caused by stress, abuse, trauma, neglect, stigma, and other factors.

Since there are still a lot of individuals who lack knowledge about this, our team decided to

conduct a symposium regarding this problem. This would increase people’s awareness of

mental health issues through informational sessions, interactive activities, and services. To

make this project possible, we need the support from the government, notably DMH. This

symposium aims to help all individuals in learning and gaining more knowledge about this

topic, as well as to spread better health care for the community.

Goals and Objectives

The purpose of this symposium is to:

· Provide information about mental health awareness

· Assemble and develop mental educators

· Engage individuals to join the said program

· Offer activities and services to the audience (Therapy worksheets & Group meditation)
Methodology, Operations, or Procedures

To make the symposium effective, here are the course of actions that we must adhere to:

1. Request approval from government officials to establish the program for the population's

mental health and psychosocial well-being.

2. Find professional guidance and counseling specialists to assist with the program.

3. Create public service announcements for individuals by traveling to areas with high rates

of mental health disorders by handing out flyers, as well as by utilizing social media

platforms.

4. The symposium is to be started; Provide therapy worksheets and group meditation to help

individuals dealing with mental health concerns.

The symposium is expected to be completed in just one day every year. If the program

receives more funding than anticipated, we plan to expand it so that the symposium takes

place more than one day each year.

· Psychotherapists (Guest Speakers)

· Audience (kids, teenagers, adults)

· Staffs

· Government
Budget

· Guest speakers - ₱ 4,000 (₱ 2,000 per speaker, 2 guest speakers)

· Things/Supplies - ₱ 2,000 (Rented chairs, tables, and sound system)

· Snacks - ₱ 5,000

Total = ₱ 11,000.00

Key Words

Psychotherapist - refers to a person who treats people who are mentally ill using

psychotherapy.

Stigma - a mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person.
