 Both take place through stages (Modern-primary, secondary and tertiary, while
traditional birth, puberty, marriage and death)
 Both accompanied by rewards and punishment
 Both prepare children for adult life
 Traditional-use local language only whilst modern- uses both local foreign languages
 No formal lessons for traditional and formal lessons for modern
 For modern education accreditation is based on certificate and for traditional education
is based on age regiments name.
 Learning takes place in classroom for modern but traditional learning can occur
anywhere
