SLD (System Landscape Directory)
What is SLD?
After the Launch of Netweaver, where all the systems are defined in One
Landscape. So we use SLD to register the other systems in the Landscape
Before configuring SLD we have to open SAP in local browser as
http://solman.<host_name>:50200/sld where "5" is default and "02" is instance
number and ''00" is default port
In case the browser is opening means we have to go directory
/usr/sap/SID/SYS/global/security/data/icm_filter_rules.txt file in that file
we have to remove content then save it and restart the SAP server
Login solman.<hostname>:50200
Select SAP NetWeaver Administration
Provide the username “J2ee_admin” and password then login
Click on Configuration Tab
Under configuration tab select "scenarios"
Open "Configuration Wizard" option.
Open "Function Unit configuration UI"
Then select "System Landscape Directory" from the menu and click on
"Enable Automatically"
It ask to provide ABAP Administrator password, J2EE Administrator
password, Master password
Then click on next
Select ''set up a new local SLD, then give next
Wait till it get completes
Finished the SLD Configuration
Once SLD is ready, upgrade CR content
Check the CR Content version by the navigation follows,
Login as http://solman.<hostname>:50200/sld and select Administration Tab
Click on details
Click on data, there in content you can observe the version of SAP CR

Update CR content as per SAP note: 669669- update of SAP system
Component Repository in SLD.
Download SAP CR content from support.sap.com support packages
and patches By Alphabetical Index (A-Z) -> letter C -> SAP CR CONTENT page, the
following items to be download are current CIM data model as the file name
cimsap…zip file and current SAP CR Content update as the file
CRDelta….zip file
Now we have to import those two file by using URL
http://solman.<hostname>:50200/sld Administration Tab Import
In this step we have to load CIM file
Click on continue import
Do it same for CRDELTA
Import started
Once CR content upgrades finish --> choose administration -->settings
-->server configuration, choose "perform role mapping button" and click
confirm.
Confirm
Roles have been mapped
Next step is we have to call T-code SOLMAN_SETUP
