Responsibilities:
1. This is the focal/committee who are tasked to officiate, ensure availability of;
equipment, secure and deliver snacks to officials, assigned venue of the
event/s and provide assistance in preparation of the games.
2. Take charge of records, results, budget use, manpower and any related
documents.

Responsibilities:
1. This is the highest court of settlement for any disputes not solved at the
competition.

SPOKEN POETRY
Mechanics:

1. Each district must send one representative for this contest.


2. The contestant may be a male or a female.
3. The piece must be original composed of a free-verse or rhymed poem about an
interesting topic of his/her choice.
4. The reading method maybe used during the elimination.
5. The contestant must memorize the piece and deliver it within a minimum of three
minutes and a maximum of five minutes. In such cases that the contestant does not
meet the minimum time (three minutes) requirement, two points will be deducted from
the score. Likewise, if he/she goes over the prescribed maximum time allotment (5
minutes), he/she will incur a two point deduction.
6. The piece must be submitted to the organizing committee on______________.

EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECH

Mechanics:
1. There will be 1 representative per team
2. Attire: Business Attire
3. He/she will be given 3 minutes preparation and 3-5 minutes delivery
4. An assigned timer will show to the contestant a flash card labeled “START". After 3
minutes, another card will be shown labeled “2 minutes more” then finally, “STOP”
after 5 minutes is consumed.
5. 1 point deduction for every exceeding minute
6. Topic is related to the theme and has the same degree of difficulty for all the
contestants.
7. List of at least 10-15 topics should be given to the contestants 30 minutes before the
start of the contest.
8. Contestant must use English language throughout the delivery. The use of other
language (Filipino and Bikol) will be deducted from the total score depending on the
number of times committed.
9. Violations of any of the mechanics will be subject for a 1 point deduction from the
total score.

ORATORICAL
Mechanics:
 The contest is open to Senior High school students only.
 There will be one contestant per district
 The contestant must be in business attire
 Piece must be based on the given theme
 Delivery should be 5-7 minutes only
 Piece should be written in English. Insertion of Bikol or Tagalog is allowed for
emphasis of ideas.
 Piece should be turned over to the Board of Judges 30 minutes before the start of the
contest for judging.
 Violations of any of the mechanics will be subject for a 1 point deduction from the
total score.

 Content (organization and clarity of ideas) 40%
 Delivery (diction, pronunciation etc.) 20%
 Stage Performance (gestures, movements) 15%

QUIZ BEE
1. Participants must be students currently enrolled in St. Peter Baptist College Foundation,
Inc.
2. Participants must register in advance to participate in the event.
3. The quiz bee will consist of multiple rounds, including preliminary, semi-final, and final
rounds.
4. Questions will cover a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to, science,
mathematics, history, literature, and current events.
5. In case of tie-breakers, additional rounds or tie-breaking questions may be included.
6. Participants will be assigned to compete individually or in teams, depending on the
event's format.
7. Questions will be read aloud by the quiz master or displayed on a screen, depending on
the event setup.
8. Participants will have a limited time of 30 second to answer each question.
9. Participants must raise their hand or use a buzzer system to signal their readiness to
answer.
10.The quiz master will acknowledge the participant/team and then allow them to provide
their answer.
11.Correct answers will be awarded points, while incorrect answers may result in deduction
of points or no points awarded.
12.The participant or team with the highest score at the end of the final round will be
declared the winner of the quiz bee.
13.Participants must maintain sportsmanship and respect towards fellow participants,
organizers, and audience members.
14.Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of dishonesty will result in immediate disqualification.
15.Participants are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the
organizers throughout the duration of the event.

PHOTO ESSAY
Mechanics:
1. There will be 1 entry team
2. Contestants will be given 1 hour to take pictures

3. There will be an assigned person in charge for the development of pictures


4. Contestants should select 5 pictures only for the essay
5. Writing materials shall be provided by the committee
6. Contestants will be given 1 hour to write the essay
7. The essay should consist of at least 300-500 words
8. Violations of any of the mechanics will be subject for a 1 point deduction from the
total score.

Criteria:

PINTAHUSAY
Mechanics:
1. Only one (1) participant per section should join in this contest.
2. Participants should paint their section/paint the image of their section within a
deep meaning.
3. Participants will have 2 hours duration to paint their section in the Canvas.
4. After finishing the art they will present their painting on stage and explain it to
everyone for one to two minutes only.
5. It should captivate people eyes and emotions.
6. The participant should need to provide their own easel or stand for their art work.

VOCAL SOLO

MECHANICS:

1. This contest is open to all Junior High School, Senior High School and
College students of SPBCF.

2. Each Team will select 1 representative in the said contest.


3. The song to be sung must be OPM (Original Pilipino Music)
4. Rendition must be 3 to 5 minutes.
5. Accompaniment maybe a guitar, piano or minus one.
6. The clothes to be worn must be Casual.
7. Deadline of submission of entry will be on March 4, 2024.
8. Violations of any of the mechanics will be subject for a 1-point deduction
from the team’s total score.
9. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
CRITERIA:

VOCAL- 50%

 Vocal Technique- tone quality, breath support,


intonation, diction, and articulation.
 Rhythm and Tempo- voice in relation to music
 Timing- how coordinated the singer in his/her
performance in regards to syncing of vocals and
interaction on performance area.
 Harmony- how the harmonies have been arrange
and executed, difficulty and creative.
EXPRESSION- 30%
 Performance- how well the performer is able to express
the meaning and mood of the song.
 Match- how well the voices and personalities match in the
relation to the song performed.
SHOWMANSHIP- 20%
 Show Design- music selection, effective use of stage
or performance area, outfit and style.

VOCAL DUET
Mechanics:

1. There will be 1 representative per Team.


2. The piece shall be any OPM (Original Pilipino Music).
3. Voice blending will be considered.
4. The contestant maybe both females/males or male and female.
5. Attire must be suited to the song.
6. Accompaniment maybe a guitar, piano or minus one.
7. Rendition must be 3 to 5 minutes.
8. Deadline of submission of entry will be on March 4, 2024.
9. Violations of any of the mechanics will be subject for a 1-point deduction

MODERN DANCE

MECHANICS:

1. The competition is open to all Junior high school, Senior high school
and College students of SPBCF.
2. Each group will have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of
15 members.
3. Each group will perform to any dance music with a minimum of 4 and
a maximum time limit of 5 minutes. Beyond this limit, a total of five
(5) Points will be deducted from the team’s total score.
4. The members of the group may be composed of all males or females,
or any combination thereof. (JHS, SHS,COLLEGE)
5. The dance number must have the accompaniment of a
modern, hiphop, and lively music.
6. Folk dances or accompaniment of folk music is not allowed.
7. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials
as props are not allowed.
8. Paid choreographer is strictly prohibited.
9. Any team proven in violation of the rules & regulations will
be automatically disqualified from the event.
10. The decision of judges is final and irrevocable.

ACUSTIC BAND

MECHANICS:

1. Each Team will perform to any music as long as there are no obscene,
lewd or green words in the lyrics. (Note: too much amplification of
instruments that will obscure or over power the volume of the vocals is
not allowed).
2. Each group will perform their choice of music with a time limit of five (5)
minutes. Beyond this limit, a total of five points will be deducted from
the group’s total score.

3. Each group will have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 members.


4. The members of the group may be composed of all males or females,
or any combination of both.
5. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials
as props are NOT allowed.
6. Medley arrangement of songs is NOT allowed.

LARO NG LAHI GAME :

EGG CATCH

Participants: SPBCF Students

* 1 pair each color (one boy and one girl)

Mechanics:

1. Each pair will provide 1 raw egg to be used in the game.


2. Contestants are positioned opposite of their pair.
3. All team members on one side will gently toss their egg to their teammate on the
other side. If an egg is broken or falls to the ground even it’s not broken, that team is
eliminated from the competition. If the egg remains unbroken, the team progresses
to the next level.
4. Everyone who is still in the game is to take one step backwards. The egg is then
tossed back to the original teammate. Again, any team that breaks its egg is
eliminated, and others progress to the next level.
5. Continue stepping backwards and tossing the eggs until only one team remains. This
team is the egg toss champion.

LARO NG LAHI GAME :

SACK RACE

Participants: SPBCF Students

 1 team per color


 10 members per team (5 boys and 5 girls) Combination of Junior High School, Senior
High School, and College.

1. Each team will provide one sack to be used on the said event.

2. The players of this game shall be the official players for each team ONLY. Any sudden
replacement during the game proper will not be entertained.
3. This game shall be played by 10 team members from each team.
4. Players shall fall in line and the first player on the line will be the one to start the
game.
5. Every player from the starting must use the sack to walk/jump through the turning
point back to the starting line. Players should put their 2 legs in the sack.
6. The first player must relay to the next player until all the players of the team have
participated.
7. In case the player falls, the player must go back to the starting line and continue the
race.
8. The team that will finish earlier than the team will be the winner.

Rubics Cube relay

Mechanics

 1 Team per color, consist of Six (6) members 2 JHS, 2 SHS, and 2 College students.

 Each team must provide 6 pcs 3x3 rubics cube.

 Players shall fall in line and the first player on the line will be the one to start the
game.

 Every player from the starting point must run through the table containing the 6 pcs
rubics cube and will solve 1 rubics after solving one, the player will run back to the
starting line.

 The first player must relay to the next player until all the players of the team have
participated.

 The team that will finish earlier than the other team will be the winner.

TAG OF WAR

Mechanics

 3 Team per color, consist of (10) members (10 Boys) (10 Girls) JHS, (10 Mixed) SHS,
and (10 Mixed )College students.
 Ensure that teams are balanced in terms of skills, experience, and expertise whenever
possible.
Objective:

 The objective of Tag of War is for one team to pull the other across a designated line
in the center of the playing area. Mark a clear center line on the ground.

 Place the center marker of the rope on this line.

 Ensure there is enough space around the playing area to prevent injury. Both teams
stand on either side of the center line, gripping the rope. The referee signals the start
of the game. Each team attempts to pull the other across the center line. The team
that successfully pulls the opposing team across the center line wins.

MOBILE LEGEND BANGBANG

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE:

 Tournament is open to all-male, and all-female, Qualifying Stage is Single Round


Robin (Point System), top three (3) teams will advance to the Playoffs (semi-final).
 Playoffs Stage will be Single elimination, top two (2) teams will advance to the Finals.
Finals will be Best-of-5 games.
PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:

 A player can only join one team consist of JHS, SHS, and college students per team.
Players must be available during tournament dates.
 Players must be currently enrolled in the school year (2023-2024).

Each Color must have three teams, one team for girls Category and two teams for
boys Category
TEAM REQUIREMENTS:

A team must consist of the following members: 5 main players (required) a


combination of Junior High School, Senior High School, and College, Once
nominated/registered regular players cannot be replaced throughout the event.
SCHEDULES / TIMING OF MATCHES:

 The tournament is an Online face to face Tournament.


GENERAL CONDUCT:

 Players are expected to conduct themselves and compete with the spirit of
sportsmanship, maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor in activities involving
other participants and public in general. The organizer has the right to apply
penalties, disqualify and dismiss any registered player from the tournament, at their
discretion, at any stage of the tournament. Cheating doesn’t need to be successful to
qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is already a violation and will lead to an
automatic disqualification for all conspirators. Examples of cheating includes, but are
not limited to: Ghosting Account Sharing Piloting
Registration: 100 pesos per team

Remarks: An individual certificates will be given to the participants, and only the
winner/champion on boys and girls category will receive a prize of 700 pesos per team.

STREETDANCE COMPETITION
QUALIFICATIONS

 All SPBCF students shall participate in the contest. There should be twenty five (25)
students each team. The groupings should be three to four (3-4) each grade level.
 The Queen is separate from the number of street dancers, so each team is consist of
twenty six (26) members per contingent.
 Each team should submit their official entry form on March 4, 2024. And a
registration fee worth 100.00 pesos per team.

The festivals will be presented on March 6, 2024, (evening)

 Parade competition and presentation is separate in judging.


 The theme for each contingent is left to their choices, any National Filipino Festival.
(Ati-atihan, Dinagyang, Panagbenga, Sinulog, Koagma, etc.)

PERFORMANCE

STREET PARADE

a. Performers must showcase continuous dancing forward motion spot performance on


designated location/s. backward steps and stationary routines are not allowed
because they cause delays in the parade.
b. Only HAND-HELD PROPS are to be used during the parade. No stand alone or platform
props are allowed.
c. They can also use recorded music and use speaker which shall be provided by the
contingent.

FESTIVAL DANCE PRESENTATION

1. Every official entry has a maximum time allotted of six (6) minutes including the
entrance and exit. Handheld props should be pre-set in the designated performance
area. An official timer shall be designated.
2. The demonstration includes all performance, dancers, and instrumentalists in varying
formations. Any group performing beyond three (3) minutes will automatically have
2-points deduction from every judges before all scores are tallied.
3. Choreography must always remain wholesome and appropriate.
4. Outsider choreographer is NOT allowed.
5. Choreography in the street or field presentation must not harm any other participants
or audience. Raising, lifting, or tossing of person by another person higher than two
person, and aerial stunts is NOT ALLOWED.
6. Costumes and props must be appropriate and well secured to prevent wardrobe
malfunctions.
7. Live animals, slippery materials (oil or water), and dangerous or live weapons,
confetti, party poppers, and balloons is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

GENERAL RULES

1. There will be three (3) judges at the parade and five (5) judges at the field
presentation.
2. Ranking shall be based on computed grand total average scores. 50% from street
parade and 50% from presentation. The decision of the board of judges is final and
irrevocable.

BALLROOM

1. In each team, there should be composed of 1 pair from team which could
be female and male.
2. Attire or costume must be suited to the song
3. The dance selected must only one straight dance.
4. No combination of dances is allowed.
5. Rendition must be 3 to 5 minutes.
6. Violations of any of the mechanics will be subject for a 1-point deduction
from the total score.
7. The performance shall not exceed seven (7) minutes but not less than 5
minutes, this includes the actual performance, entrance and exit of
dancers
8. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable

CRITERIA:
 Performance - (40%)
(Staging, Spacing Formations, Execution Showmanship, Projection Stabilization
and Variety of Hip Hop Routines, Entertainment Value and Crowd Appeal)

 Choreography & Originality - (30%)


(Dance Arrangements &Concept, Incorporating Unique and Original /Creative

Note:

 Teams are obliged to participate in all events, “no entry” will


corresponds to 10-point deduction of the total earned points of the
team.

FOLK DANCE

 Each team consists of four pairs, with each pair composed of two individuals.
 The pairs may consist of any gender combination.

 Each team consists of four pairs, with each pair composed of two individuals.
 The pairs may consist of any gender combination. Costumes: Teams are encouraged
to wear traditional Filipino attire that complements the chosen folk dance.

 Props: The use of props is allowed but should not overshadow the dance itself.
 Duration: Each performance should not exceed a specified time limit, typically
between 5 to 7 minutes, to ensure fairness and efficiency.
 Respect: Teams should show respect for the culture and traditions represented by the
folk dance they are performing.
 Sportsmanship: Teams should demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout the
competition, showing respect for fellow competitors and judges.
 Judges will assign scores to each team based on the aforementioned criteria.
 The team with the highest overall score will be declared the winner.
