Housing Society Module
Introduction
Housing societies collect funds as Building Repair Fund, Car Parking, Electricity Charges, Insurance
Charges, Lift Maintenance Charges, Maintenance Charges, Misc Charges, Municipal Tax, Repair Fund,
Sinking Fund, Society Fund, Two Wheelers Parking, Water Charges etc. There are also fines for late fees
where interest rates are applicable.
With the help of this Add-on you can do easy and error free billing for your housing society. You can also do
auto calculation & interest calculation for different heads.
Important!
As a best practice it is advisable to take back up your company data before
installing the add-on

Setup Guide
1. Update your license.
Go to Gateway of Tally F12: Configuration Licensing Update License
(For multi-site account, Refer FAQ section for the steps to configure Add-on for a particular
site.)
2. Close and reopen Tally.ERP 9 Application and open your company.
3. Get Add-on help and open user manual.
For Tally.ERP Series A versions lower than Release 5.0
Go to H: Help Add-on Help to open the user manual.
For Tally.ERP Series A release 5.0 and above
Press Ctrl + Alt + H to get Add-on help.
4. Activate the Add-on

For Tally.ERP 9 Series A version lower than Release 3.2
Go to Gateway of Tally > F11: Features > Accounting Features
Set “Yes” to the options “Enable Housing Society Module”
For Tally.ERP 9 Series A Release 3.2 and above
Go to Gateway of Tally > F11: Features > Add-on Features
Set “Yes” to the options “Enable Housing Society Module”
5. Add-on details
Go to Accounts Info > Ledger > Create
(Create all Billing Heads Ledger as given below)
a. Type of Charges Select Respective Type of Charge for Billing Head
b. Rate of Charges Set Value for the Calculation for Billing Head
c. Calculations as given below :-
(A) Building Repair Fund : Fixed Rate as Given in Billing Head Ledger
(B) Car Parking : Fixed Rate*No of Cars(Set in Party Ledger)
(C) Electricity Charges : Fixed Rate as Given in Billing Head Ledger
(D) Insurance Charges : Fixed Rate*Area Sqft (Set in Party Ledger)
(E) Lift Maintenance Charges : Fixed Rate as Given in Billing Head Ledger
(F) Maintenance Charges : Fixed Rate*Area Sqft (Set in Party Ledger)
(G) Misc Charges : Fixed Rate as Given in Billing Head Ledger
(H) Municipal Tax : Fixed Rate*Area Sqft (Set in Party Ledger)
(I) Repair Fund : Fixed Rate as Given in Billing Head Ledger
(J) Sinking Fund : Fixed Rate*Area Sqft (Set in Party Ledger)
(K) Society Fund : Fixed Rate as Given in Billing Head Ledger
(L) Two Wheelers Parking : Fixed Rate*No of TW(Set in Party Ledger)
(M) Water Charges : Fixed Rate as Given in Billing Head Ledger

Go to Accounts Info > Ledger > Create
(Create all Party Ledger as given below)
• You can set the desired Billing Period to print, if Billing Period is Blank you will get the Month Name
which is related to bill date.
• You can print Bill from Multi Accounting Printing option >> Multi Voucher Printing
Now if you not want to Print Receipt of Customer for Last Month with Bill you can Print Bill without
Receipt.

Go to Gateway of Tally > F11: Features > Add-on Features
Set “Yes” to the options “Don’t Print Receipt with Receipt”
• If advance amount is received from Party then it will deduct from Invoice Value.
• Service Tax calculation has been enabled while recording an invoice, if Service Tax is applicable for a
particular Head then you can configure service Tax and it will get calculated while billing. Flat Rate
Head is introduced to configure any billing head for calculation as Flat Rate. Billing Head is enabled for
Ledgers under group Liabilities.
Below Instructions are Not part of AddOn :-
To Set Billing Heads for Fast Data Entry
• Go to Gateway of Tally -> Accounts Info. -> Voucher Type -> Alter -> Select Sales
Set Name of Class [Society]
• Set a Dummy in default Accounting Allocation as under [Ledger > Under Sales Accounts]
• Set all Billing Heads in Additional Accounting Entries as given below
Activate Interest Calculation:-
Go to Gateway of Tally > F11: Features > Accounting Features

Set “Yes” to the options “Activate Interest Calculation”
Set “Yes” to the option “(Use Advanced parameters)”
Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info > Ledger > Alter ---- Select Party Ledger
Set “Yes” to option “Activate Interest Calculation”
Set Form values as given below as applicable.
Go to Gateway of Tally > F11: Features > Set/Alter Terms & Conditions
Set “Yes” to the options “Set/Alter Terms & Conditions
Set Terms & Condition for Print on Invoice.
Set for Interest Entry
• Go to -> Gateway of Tally -> Accounts Info. -> Voucher Type -> Alter ->Select Debit Note
• Set Name of Class [Interest]
• Set “Yes” to option “Use class for Interest Accounting”
• Pass Interest Entry with selection of Class.

We offer one year availability of all support and new features free of cost. After one year, nominal subscription
cost will be applicable to you to continue to get free support and updates.
What will happen after one year?
20% of the then MRP will be charged for one year of email support and versions (minor & major).
How to configure the add-ons?
Contact your Tally Partner or Tally Service Partner. Alternatively, visit our website

how to configure add-ons.
I have upgraded to a new Tally.ERP 9 Release. What will happen?
Normally, the add-on will work fine without any glitches. If you face problems with the Add-on, you
can contact us for support.
Product and Features Page shows errors with the Add-on. What do I do?
Check first if the error is because of the Add-on or because of clashes between 2 TDLs (An add-on
is also a TDL). In case of clashes, disable one or more TDLs and check which TDL has error. If the
Add-on has a problem, you can report it to us.
My Tally went into educational mode after installing the add-on. What do I do?

Go into Control Centre Licensing & Configuration TDL Management F8: TDL Config
List Select the site’s TDL configuration which has the Add-on and remove the Add-on from
the list. Update the license.
How do I find out if a new release of the Add-on is available?
Go to Control Centre Licensing & Configuration TDL Management and check under
version available Column.
How do I update to the latest release?
Go to Control Centre Licensing & Configuration TDL Management and check under
version available Column. If the version number shown under ‘Version Available’ column is higher
than the version number shown in Name of the Add-on, select the Add-on and press F4 or click on
F4: Download to download the new version. Update the license and restart Tally after download.
How do I cross upgrade the Add-on from Silver to Gold Edition?
Go to Control Centre Licensing & Configuration TDL Management, select the Add-on
and press F6 or click on F6: Change Edition. Update the license and restart Tally after download.
My Subscription for the Add-on has expired. How do I renew my subscription?
Go to Control Centre Licensing & Configuration TDL Management and check under
Subscription Expiry column. If the subscription is about to expire or expired, select the Add-on,
Press F5 or click on F5: Renew and fill in the required details to renew your subscription. Update
the license and restart Tally after download.
Will this add-on work in remote session?
Yes, this add-on will work remotely.
