1 Section-GP This section covers generally about details for preparation of BOQ,
General description of items from its measurement to
principles contingencies.
2 Section-A General This section covers general requirements for contractors &employees for
Requirements their accommodation, vehicles, safety &
material required for construction.
3 Section-B Site This section covers the detail & measurement guideline for various site
works work like borehole, shoring, demolition, shoring,
site preparation.
4 Section-C This section deals with method of measurement of concrete in
Concrete reinforcement, poured concrete, shuttering, precast
Work concrete etc.
5 Section-D This section says concrete filling to cavity, wall & piles measures in area.

6 Section-E This section says weight of metalwork should be measured in
Metal Work net weight
7 Section F This section says structural timber shall be measured in length
Wood Work and the same goes for grounds and battens, framework etc

Thermal& in length. Roof light, ventilators etc. are enumered. Special roofing sheets

9 Section H Doors This section says doors, window, ironmongery etc. are enumbered while

10 Section-J Finishes This section says background, floor, wall, structural metal work etc are
measured in area. Whereas bands, strings, etc
are measured in length.
11 Section-K This section says partition shall be measured in length, door,
Accessories cubicals and glazed units are enumerated
12 Section-L This section says each category of equipment shall be given as
Equipment an item.
13 Section-M This section deals furniture are defined as loose furniture,
Furnishing fitting or related to occupation and use of building. Curtain track shall be
measured in length.
14 Section –N Special This section says enclosure shall ne enumerated. Installation shall be given
Construction as an item.
15 Section-O This section deals with lift, hoist, conveyors, escalators etc. safety and
Conveying precaution needed. Protective painting , removal

16 Section- P This section deals with plumbing works. Fitting small pipies less than 60
Mechanical mm shall be enumerated or else area.
Engineering Equipments are to be enumerated. Insulation to circular duct work
Installation measured by length along centreline over all fittings.
17 Section-Q This section deals with electric unit. Cable and conduits are measured by
Electrical length. Accessories and control gear shall be enumerated.
