ABSTRACT (not more than 100 words)
This paper provides an overview of scientific and technical literature in the field of various
applications of polymer composite materials in the automotive industry. High-performance
plastic materials in automobiles have seen a significant surge in recent decades, and their
uses are expanding with a strong likelihood of expanding further, because of their light
weight and superior qualities, so polymers are making their way deep into the wide variety
of automotive applications. Even though composites have been employed in the industry for
a long time, it is only recently that they have been used in the automotive industry it
involves research and development in and manufacturing design processes, as well as testing
and recycling. This paper highlights the differences and advantages between the automotive
and other industries.
Keywords:
Composite materials, Automobile applications, fiber reinforced polymer composites.
