2a Describe the call of the first disciples of Jesus. Luke 5:1-11

i. Jesus called the first disciples on the shores of Lake Gennesaret

ii. A large crowd had gathered to listen to the word of God.
iii. He got into Simon’s boat /asked Simon to push ii into the water
iv. Jesus taught the people from Simon’s boat
v. After preaching, He asked Simon to push the boat into deep water/cast their nets for a catch
vi. Simon told Jesus that they had been fishing the whole night without success
vii. Simon told Jesus that because of his word he would let down the nets
viii. He caught a lot of fish and asked his partners in other boats to assist him remove the catch
ix. They filled both boats with such fish that the boats began to sink

Corinth
