Week 28
Learning Competencies
The learners should be able to…
1. identify different looping statements in Scratch;
2. demonstrate how to use loops in Scratch projects;
3. create an interactive Scratch project applying looping statements.
DAY 1
Learning Targets
The learners will be able to:
1. explain a loop statement.
2. create an animation program using looping statement.
3. differentiate broadcast block and “when I receive” block .

Learning Activities
Daily Routine:
1. Adamson’s Prayer
2. Veritas in Caritate Greetings!
3. Attendance Checking
4. Classroom Cleanliness and Orderliness Check
5. Learning Materials Setup
Review/Drill:
How to use blocks to code conditional statements?
Recall basic Scratch concepts (blocks, events, and simple scripts).
Conditional statement is consists of?
Can you illustrate how conditional block looks?Boolean block? Action block?
Can you give an example of “If then” command?
What conditional statement is answerable by true or false?
Motivation:
Play a short animated GIF of a simple dance move looping.
Ask: "How do you think we can program this continuous movement in Scratch?"
Show a simple Scratch project demonstrating a sprite dancing using loops.
Lesson Proper:
1. Introduce looping statements (forever loop, repeat loop, repeat until).
2. Explain how each loop works using Scratch examples.
3. Demonstrate live coding of a sprite moving in a loop.
4. Ask students to open Scratch and replicate a simple loop (e.g., making a sprite move 10 steps

repeatedly.
5. Students create a short animation or simple game using at least one type of loop.
Application: By pair activity-Apply looping statements in your own game using Scratch.
Closure of the lesson:
1. How do loops help in programming?
2. What is an example of a real-world loop?
3. Why do you need to learn how to create looping statements on Scratch?
4. What is the importance of looping statements?
5. What strategy did you use to finish your task?
6. Did you had fun creating your own game with your classmate?
