Fiery® ES IC-419 version 1.2
This Customer User Addendum document provides information about the Fiery® ES IC-419 version 1.2 software.
This document supplements the documentation for the version 1.1 software and describes new software support,
features, and updated information. The documentation for the version 1.1 software is available at http://
help.efi.com/konicaminolta/docs/.
Before using the Fiery Color Server, make copies of the Customer User Addendum and distribute to all users.
This document uses the following terms:

What's new in version 1.2
• Blank insert to card jobs
You can insert a blank sheet before or after a card job using the Slip sheet feature in Fiery Command
WorkStation from Job Properties > Finishing > Slip sheet.
• Pagination order layout for Cut in Two jobs
You can specify the pagination order layout for Cut in Two jobs in Fiery Command WorkStation from Job
Properties > Finishing > Finisher profile > Pagination order. Specify Cut in Two R to L or Cut in Two L to R to
change the pagination order.
• Cut interleave is defined by specifying the Pagination order.
• Cut in two: Center Cut
You can specify Cut in two > Center Cut to cut a sheet in two at the center, for most media sizes.
Known issues
No non-ASCII file names in PPML jobs
Do not use non-ASCII file names (for example, Kanji file names) inside the archive of PPML jobs.

Printing Preferences window
On macOS 10.15, if the Printing Preferences window stops responding (especially when you select finishing options),
press Esc.
TU-510 issues
• Hole punch, fold, staple, perfect binder, and third-party finishers may not be supported for some cut in two jobs.
Jobs with unsupported combinations will be canceled by the printer. You can specify Bypass Fiery settings check
from Job properties > Finishing to bypass the Fiery® ES IC-419 settings check.
• The TU-510 trimmer unit will cancel a saddle job if the cover page defines the trimmer. Only the TU-510 Cover
mode is supported for Perfect binding jobs. The Device profile (Cover) is available only for 1-up perfect jobs.
• The printer control panel and the Fiery® ES IC-419 represent the crease and perforation positions with different
reference points.
For example, a 60 mm crease position with the lead edge cut value of 5 mm is displayed as follows:
• The printer control panel shows the absolute coordinate from the cut position (60 mm).
• Fiery Finishing Designer shows the relative coordinate from edge of the uncut sheet (65 mm).
• If you print a face-up job as duplex and the image is oriented incorrectly, select Rotate 180 in Job Properties >
Layout.
Fiery Driver and Fiery Command WorkStation behaviors are different between paper size and
perfect binder body size
Multiple cutting with the TU-510 finisher and selecting perfect binding in the Fiery Driver are constrained, but the
same selections are not constrained in Command WorkStation. Although there is no constraint against these
selections in Command WorkStation, this combination is not supported.
Fiery Hot Folders
Send jobs using Fiery Hot Folders with macOS
To print using Fiery Hot Folders on macOS versions 10.15, 11.1, 11.2, or 11.3, if your hot folder is located on the
macOS desktop, or in the Downloads or Documents folders, you must give full disk access to the Fiery Hot Folders
application. To give full disk access to the Fiery Hot Folders application, do the following:
1 Click on Apple icon and select System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
2 Click on the Privacy tab.
3 Click the Full Disk Access section in the sidebar.
4 Click the lock icon and type your system password and click Unlock to unlock the panel settings.
5 Leave this window open and select Finder.
6 From the Go menu select Go to Folder.

7 Type the following path in the dialog box:
/Applications/Fiery/Fiery Hot Folders.app/Contents/Resources
then press the Go button.
8 In the Finder window, select the application HotFolders and drag and drop this application to the Full Disk
Access window.
9 Click the lock to prevent further changes and close the Security and Privacy window.
As workaround, you can create the Hot Folder at a location other than the Desktop, Downloads, or Documents
folders.
Fiery Remote Scan
Fiery Remote Scan files with same name
For Windows client computers, when Map mailbox to folder is enabled with Fiery Remote Scan, if there are files with
the same name in the mailbox, only one file will be synced to the Windows folder. Use different file names when you
scan to mailbox to avoid this issue. Keep in mind that you should not manage or work with scan files in Windows
folders. It is recommended that you manage and work with scan files using Fiery Remote Scan.
