Dear Parents,

Namaste!

As the new session is about to begin in another few months, we are happy to
inform you that we, at Laurels, are planning many new ventures and Educational
programs in the coming session involving all stakeholders. I find it my proud
privilege to share them with you through this mail.

With the world of education surging ahead globally, we need to ensure we keep
pace with it. Therefore, we plan to introduce various activities with the sole
purpose of taking Education beyond the classrooms and making it student
friendly. We shall be focusing on various important skills, as well as developing
their personality.

The first program which we plan to introduce is the Education in Human Values
(EHV) which is the core of Education. As you know value education is the
foundation of life. So at laurels, we hope to prepare our children to go forth in the
world equipped with the right value system.

Next, very close to the EHV program, is the communication skills and grooming
program which we propose to introduce in our school from the coming session.
This program aims to develop the personality of the children and teach children
how to conduct themselves and communicate well, both in English as well as in
Hindi.

The academic program of our school will see major advancement from the
coming session. We have planned on a remedial program for children in some
subjects. We aim to hand hold children as far as we possibly can, ensuring
children cope with the subjects they find challenging. Of course, support of
parents here will be a major help. We are also hiring some of the best teachers
not only from Indore but from other cities too, to ensure academics surges ahead
as per our plan. We shall encourage active participation of children in the
teaching learning process, making it student centric, thus, encouraging them to
become independent learners. In any school the teachers are its backbone. To
ensure our teachers are upgraded and are introduced to the latest in education,
we have already planned a number of workshops and trainings of our teachers
from some of the best resource persons in the education arena. It is extremely
imperative all teachers are regularly given the relevant exposure so that they
keep pace with the changing and dynamic pedagogies and are well equipped to
deliver thereafter.

Monitoring of all academic work is extremely essential as well as keeping the

parents informed about the child’s progress thereafter. In the session 2024-25,
each child will be monitored extensively, to the best of our ability. We are also in
the process of upgrading our labs so that children can be taught through hands
down activities to which they respond faster and better. There will be regular
meetings with parents wherein the school will be guiding them as to how to how
to plan their monitoring and hand holding at home once the children leave
school. It is only with joint efforts on part of both the school and home, that we
will see visible growth in our children.

These days as we all are aware of, children are moving out of the city and country
to pursue further education. We have to realize that we need to train the children
now in the kitchen craft too. They thus can handle their kitchens independently,
while studying away from home. You will be happy to learn we hope to introduce
the Health and food craft lab for this sole purpose.

We are also in the process of improvising the sports program so that our children
get more opportunities to participate in tournaments and competitions. The
program hopes to train children in some selected games under trained coaches.
Close to this program is the evening academy we have planned to start in the
coming session. This academy will be open to all children and will be functioning
only in the late afternoon after school is over. We shall ensure children get
rigorous training in sports during this time which helps them in going ahead in
that game as well as becoming healthy and positive. It has become very important
that we encourage children in sports as it's an extremely important aspect of
education and will help them keep away from all negative distractions easily
available these days. We shall also be starting Kathak and music classes under
renowned teachers, in the academy.

This coming year is also going to be a year when we hope to bring the parents
community closer to the school so that we both can work together for a common
cause, our children positive growth! Therefore, we are planning many relevant
workshops and sessions with parents which will guide you to handle your children
with care according to the age and stage the child is in. It has been observed that
with the technological changes the world has seen in the past few years, and the
effect of COVID, many challenges are being faced by the Parent community. We
believe that time has come when the school has to shoulder the responsibility of
guiding the parents as much as it possibly can. Laurels would like to take this step
forward and walk this extra mile with you.

There are some programs which are in the pipeline for the session 2025-26, too.
Gradually we desire to open up more avenues for our children to equip them with
all essentials that they might need to go forth in the battlefield of life. Education
beyond the four walls of the classroom is as important as within it.

My dear Parents no school moves ahead and surges forward unless the Parents
and the school authorities hold hands keeping their trust intact. We invite you to
stand by us and help us take these initiatives so that our children get the best and
move on in life with happy healthy memories through holistic education we are
aiming to provide.
