There are two reasons that come to mind. Firstly, maybe because some people see their
excessive use of this gadget like spending hours scrolling mindlessly through social media,
they find this wastes a great deal of their time. Secondly, being glued to computers is
extremely damaging to their eyes. Many people end up being short-sighted. So, they make
up their mind to reduce the use of computers.

Nowadays, people can work regardless of time zone and geographical boundaries thanks to
the Internet. To be more specific, they don’t have to go to the office or be physically present
to collaborate with colleagues, but they can still get work done. That’s why coffee shops are
now a great place for people to come to work. Besides, while meetings were held in physical
rooms in the past, now web conferencing tools facilitate remote meetings. I mean people
can collaborate with each other without meeting face to face as they used to, which saves a
great deal of time and costs.

I suppose that it’s harmful for children to use the Internet without their parents’ supervision
due to several clear risks it brings to them. First of all, as children are still young, they’re
easily tempted to click on inappropriate content like violent scenes or sexual images on the
web, which has a negative impact on their development. Secondly, children might become
the victim of cyberbullying. If this lasts too long, it would give them a sense of anxiety and
depression.

Yes, I think that a lot of individuals, especially young people, spend most of their time on
social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, which is a huge waste of time. They
often do not take advantage of the Internet to do something helpful for their study or work.
For example, some high-school students waste their time on surfing Facebook or watching
films instead of enrolling in an online course to improve their knowledge of English grammar
to prepare for their entrance exam.

I think the Internet has contributed to several huge impacts on education. Firstly, thanks to

technologies such as interactive whiteboards which help students learn more effectively.

schools and universities.

collar workforce, which means the Internet will appear in construction sites to replace
humans. Another example is a driverless car with an on-board computer connected with the
Internet, so we may no longer worry about traffic accidents anymore.
