📘 Week 1: Computer Fundamentals & Basic

Operations
Day 1: Introduction to Computers
 Computer: An electronic device that processes data to produce
meaningful information.
 Hardware: Physical components (CPU, keyboard, monitor, mouse).
 Software: Programs and operating systems (Windows, MS Word).
 Types of Computers:
 Desktop
 Laptop
 Tablet
 Server

Example: CPU is like the brain of the computer.

Day 2: Operating Systems


 Operating System (OS): A program that manages hardware and
software (e.g., Windows 10, macOS).
 Desktop: Main screen with icons.
 File Explorer: Tool to access folders and files.
 File Management: Create, move, copy, delete folders and files.

Example: Use “File Explorer” to organize files into folders.

Day 3: Keyboard & Mouse Skills


 Typing: Practice on websites like TypingClub.
 Shortcuts:
 Ctrl + C: Copy
 Ctrl + V: Paste
 Ctrl + Z: Undo
Activity: Type a paragraph and format it using shortcuts.

Day 4: Basic Maintenance


 Disk Cleanup: Frees space by deleting temporary files.
 Antivirus: Protects against malware (e.g., Avast).
 Task Manager: Checks running applications and performance.

Example: Use Task Manager to end a program that is not responding.

Day 5: Hands-on Practice


 File Organization: Arrange files in folders.
 Typing Test: Take a 5-minute typing test.

1. Create folders inside "My Documents".


2. Save 3 files in each subfolder.

📗 Week 2: Microsoft Office

Day 8–9: MS Excel


 Formulas:

Example: Create a sheet for expenses, add totals and pie chart.

Day 10: MS PowerPoint

 Design Tips: Use themes, bullet points, images.

Example: Make a presentation on “Digital Literacy”.

1. Resume in MS Word.
2. Expense sheet in Excel with formulas.

📙 Week 3: Internet, Email & Data Security
Day 11: Internet Basics
 Browser: Software to browse the web (Chrome, Firefox).
 Search Engine: Google, Bing.
 Cloud Storage: Google Drive, OneDrive.

Example: Use Google to search for “top computer skills”.

Day 12: Email Writing


 Compose: Write a new email.
 Attach: Add a file.
 Organize: Use folders and labels.

Example: Send an email to a teacher with assignment PDF.

Day 13: Online Security


 Phishing: Fake emails/websites to steal data.
 Strong Password: Use mix of letters, numbers, symbols.
 Antivirus: Protects system.
