(b) You are supposed to carry out a polarity test on live circuits for lighting.

(c) Outline three characteristics of each of each of the following. (6 marks)

(d) Using a well labelled diagram, explain ring circuit in an electrical installation
and outline two of its advantages over the radial circuit. (7 marks)
2. (a) Outline 5 roles of the Kenya Power and Lighting company (5 marks)
(b) Draw a well labelled diagram of a Hydro – electric power station. (8 marks)
(c) Draw the following electrical power distribution system (6 marks)
i. A.C two wire system
ii. D.C two wire system
(d) State one disadvantage of the ring circuit in an electrical installation (1 mark)
3. (a) Outline the procedure you would follow when carrying out polarity test

Installation. Also, state one advantage and one disadvantage of a
