TNS Gallup has measured Norwegian internet use quarterly since 1995. Their latest survey from 3Q 2009 shows that 90% of Norwegians have internet access. Facebook is the most widely used social network in Norway, reaching 34% of the total population daily. Weekly reach of Facebook has grown from 8% in 2006 to 50% in 3Q 2009. Daily reach of top media shows that NRK 1 TV and TV2 reach over 60% of Norwegians, compared to 34% for Facebook.

TNS Gallup InterBuss
 TNS Gallup have measured different aspects of Internet use in Norway since 1995. This
presentation gives a short overview of the main figures concerning SNS (Social Network
Sites).
 TNS Gallup’s InterBuss measures Norwegian Internet use every quarter. Key aspects
include how Norwegians are connected to the Internet, use of e-commerce, social media,
other Internet services, mobile content etc.
 In InterBuss 1.000 respondents 15 + years are interviewed by CAWI. 90% of the
Norwegian population have access to the Internet. In order to compare SNS figures with
other media, the figures are re-calculated to give proportions for the whole population
(and not just the Internet population).
 The figures from SNS are also compared with reach for the top newspapers, TV-stations,
radio stations and internet sites in Norway (last slide).
 1% = 40.800 persons above 12 years +. 1% = 38.900 persons above 15 years +.
