SMART HOME AUTOMATION USING
MICROCONTROLLER

INTRODUCTION:
• Our paper is about home automation with the use of
power saving tequnice.
• Automation is noting but closed loop operation with the
help of microcontroller and sensor.
• In the automation we are using Aurdino controller with
* Temperature sensor
* Ultrasonic sensor
* PIR sensor
* Water flow sensor
* LDR
SENSORS:
 Temperature sensor is used and measured for
temperature.
 It works is monitoring the temperature value.
 It used IC number is LM 35.
 PIR (passive infrared sensor ) is a identified sensor.
 It is identify the living things only.
 It used IC number is HCS-R501.
 ULTRASONIC sensor mainly used for measuring the
distance.
 It has another used for position sensor.
 It model number is HC -SR04.
 Water flow sensor it measured for the liquid
type materials.
 It worked for maximum 5V DC supply.
 It measured for 30lit maximum.
 Sensor number is YF-G1.
 LDR (Light depend resistor) is a light control
variable resistor.
 Brightness value is high resistance value is high
because current flow is low.
 Brightness value is low resistance value is low
level because current flow is high.
CONTROLLERS:
ARDUINO UNO is a one type of micro controller.
It has worked for constant voltage 5V dc supply.
It used for programming language in embedded system.
It has 14 digital pin is used and analog input pin is 6.
The transmitted pin is (TX) and received pin is (RX).
A 3.3 volt supply generated by the on board regulator. Maximum current draw is 50 mA
GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications)
It used through the SMS information .
Connect with ARDUINO, RASPBERRY PI, NODE MCU, ESP 8266, etc.
Best suited for GSM based Microcontroller Projects (better than SIM300 ).
The transmitted pin is (TX) and received pin is (RX).
It used for the 2G and 3G signals only .
 Ethernet is a family of computer networking technologies.
It has a one type of controller.
It has a LAN (Local area network) or inter net device control and monitoring.
It has send and Receive the signal for maximum ranges.
 That maximum level Temprature is 0 to 70 °C .
HOME AUTOMATION
HomeAutomation(HA)
With HA you control and monitor devices and information is given.
Triggerthings basedon time.
Measured for temperature , lightning and etc.
Security
•Monitoring doors andwindows Fire, smoke,water.
