Voice actor David Graham has died at the age of 99.
The star was best known for his voice as Grandpa Pig on kid's animation Peppa Pig. He was also the voice of Aloysius Parker, the butler and chauffeur in iconic 1960s TV series Thunderbirds, while he also appeared in its film sequels.
Also in the 60s and 70s he was used as the voice behind the evil Daleks in Doctor Who.
For his role on the popular children's show about a family of pigs, David took on the role of Grandpa. His character was married to Granny Pig and was father to Mummy Pig and Aunt Dottie.
Before portraying the Daleks voice, David acted on-screen. However, he was best known for his scary voiceover. Speaking to Mirror in 2015, he said: "I created it with Peter Hawkins, another voice actor.
"We adopted this staccato style then they fed it through a synthesiser to make it more sinister."
In Thunderbirds, David voiced Parker for the futuristic children's puppet series. He was also the voice behind the show's pilot Gordon Tracy, and Brains the engineer, for two years between 1965 and 1966.
David reprised the role of Parker in 2015 as the iconic show was remade under the name Thunderbirds Are Go! He was the only original cast member to return for the series.
He gushed at the time: "I am triple chuffed to be on board the new series... and reprising my role of dear old Parker with such a distinguished cast."
Following the announcement of his death, tributes and messages of condolence poured in online. On Twitter /X, the son of Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson wrote: "We’re incredibly sad to confirm the passing of the legendary David Graham.
