Nintendo has a long and storied history with their successful consoles like the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System), Nintendo 64, Came Cube and being champions of the handheld market with consoles like the Gameboy and Nintendo DS Systems.
Known for being an innovator in the gaming industry and trying out more experimental systems, like the Wii motion controllers in 2006, the Duel display of the Nintendo DS.
Nintendo created many loved characters franchises such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Smash Bros and Metroid to name but a few.
The Nintendo Switch is their current smash hit console which released 2017, this is called a hybrid console as it allows you to play on the go as a handheld but also connects to a television for a full console gaming experience. A slightly scaled-down hardware revision version called Switch Lite released in 2019, offering an even more portable play without TV connectivity.
