BACKGROUND NOTE
You are manager of Sony Experia. Because of the increasing number of competition, the owners of the
restaurant decided to use QFD to determine how you can improve your products. You were tasked to lead
the QFD team because you had extensive background in TQM. After the information gathering, your team
produced the following House of Quality:

Your task now is to explain this House of Quality to the stakeholders of Sony.
QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION: (2 items x 50 points)
1. Summarize the matrices and how they relate to each other.
2. Based on the House of Quality, what should Sony Experia do to get ahead of the competition and
attract customers? Give evidence of your answer using the given House of Quality.
