Let us all skip counting by five starting from
1 up to 6 where the long hand is pointing.

What time is it? Three-thirty o’clock
We write Three-thirty as
3:30.
How about when the short hand points
to 1 and the long hand points to 6.
What time is it?
Let us count again 5,10,15,20,25,30
What time is it? Its one-thirty o’clock

When the short hand points to 5


And the long hand points to 6.
What time is it? Its five-thirty o’clock

From 5 up to 60 is the representation


of minutes by 5.

C. Generalization
How do we tell time to the half hour? To tell time by half hour, we count
5 up to 30.
