Flexibility Method in Structural Analysis

This document discusses matrix methods for structural analysis. Matrix methods reformulate existing structural analysis methods using matrix algebra, allowing for more efficient solutions. The document introduces two basic structural analysis approaches: the force method and displacement method. It also discusses analyzing statically indeterminate structures using the flexibility method. The flexibility method determines displacements based on the principle of superposition and considers the effects of loads and redundant forces separately.
