Instructions :

• This is an individual assessment or maximum 2 person in a group.


• You will need to find 15 printed materials and 5 non-printed from the libraries.
(You do not need to send the actual books or any non-printed materials, just
make sure the information provided is sufficient).
• You have to photocopy the chief source of information and other related
information to be include in Appendix.
Printed Materials ;
- Title page
- Verso Page
- Photo of the material (with ruler to determine the height of material.
- The last numbered page ; preliminary page & page.
- Any other related information.
Non-Printed Materials ;

- Any information related as in Chief Source of Information.


- A photo of the material (front & back)
• The arrangement of this assignment will be in two parts.
- The answer (work-sheet) in Part A
- The appendix consists of all the photocopy materials in Part B
What to do…

• This task is focused on the ability to describe the 8 Areas in catalog record.
• This task is not a catalog exercises, so you do not need to create an
appropriate record catalog.
IMC151 – GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT

• You need to design a work-sheet based on the one given as example. You
may use the example given (design / work-sheet) if you feel it is appropriate
and suitable.
• Complete the work-sheet for each of the materials, noting all elements you
think may help a library user to identify the work or may be useful access
point into catalog, bibliography, or index. Not every item will contain all
bibliographic elements.
• Preferably, use your own handwriting for the description.
