Cabin Blends PESTLE and SWOT Analysis

The Cabin Blend is a coffee shop based in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. The business was
established on December 3, 2020 and it currently has two branches within Dumaguete located at
Barangay Batinguel and Daro near Silliman University Medical Hospital, they also do stalls in
pop-up events. They offer a wide array of coffee flavors as well as pastries and breads. Their
brand is known within the city and they have a strong customer market.
PESTLE Analysis
Political:
Local Regulations: In Dumaguete City, they are supposed to register with the DTI, BIR, SEC,
CDA as well as the local government and comply with the health, security and business
operation regulations.
Political Stability: The stable political environment in Dumaguete City and elsewhere has helped
keep businesses running smoothly. It is a fact that in Dumaguete city small businesses are always
supported.
Trade Policies: Import duties and trading policies will therefore affect the availability of coffee
beans and other supplies.

Economic:
Economic Growth: The case for Dumaguete thriving economy is based on it being a university
town and increasing tourism which creates high demand for coffee shops.
Inflation Rates: Inflation may result in escalating prices of ingredients coupled with operational
costs thus leading to declining profit margins.
Employment Rates: A reasonably stable job market guarantees customers; while wages give
motivation to hire best workers.
Social:
Demographics: They have a considerable number of students from Silliman University who are
also residents of the area making them consistent customers.
Lifestyle Trends: Young professionals and students on the other hand prefer specialty or artisan
coffees thus push up their demand levels even more each day.
Health Consciousness: Thus, there is an opportunity to increase demand for healthy organic food
and drinks by offering this type.

Technological:
Digital Payment Systems: Introduction of current payment technologies including e-wallets and
mobile payments to ease transactions for clients.
Social Media Marketing: Making use of social media platforms to involve consumers, advertise
events, and publicize pop-up sites.
Brewing Technology: Investing in the latest coffee brewing machinery in order to produce high
quality products and run efficiently.

Legal:
Intellectual Property: Securing the name, trademark and recipes through intellectual property
rights.
Labor Laws: Observing regulations on remuneration rates, working conditions, employee
provisions etc. so that there are no legal disputes.
Consumer Protection Laws: Adhering to food handling guidelines as well as clear labeling so
that customers are not afraid to buy your products due to fear of legal ripples

bio-degradable wrappings.
Waste Management: Proper waste disposal methods aimed at reducing environmental pollution
caused by garbage materials.
Climate Change: Tracking climate change impacts on coffee production and supply chain,
adjusting sourcing strategies as necessary.
