- How to define various Static Loads.
- How to define moving load as per Eurocode in midas Civil.
- How to interpret the results in midas Civil.
- How to design and check plate Beam as per Eurocode in midas Civil.

- A 2 span continuous 24m long bridge having span configuration of 12m + 12m, consisting of reinforced concrete slab
superstructure.

Click on “Add” to define materials
4 Define Material data:
Name > “C35/45” 3
Type of design> “Concrete”
Concrete Standard > “EN04(RC)”
DB > “C35/45”
5 Click on “OK”
6 Click on “Close”
Note: When it is required to change some properties of material, the required database is selected and then standard is again set to None
to alter the material Properties

Enter Span lengths as “2@12” m
Skew = 0
Enter dimensions as shown below:
t = 0.65m, t1 = 0.3m 4
a1 = 0.5m, a2 = 0.5m
a3 = 0.3m
Select “Elastic Links” option under

Provide Elastic Link Stiffness for

Check ”Pavement” & 1
“Barrier“ Load options and
input following data:
Thickness = 0.065m 2
Weight Density = 22 kN/m^3
Self Weight = 10.125kN/m
Additional load = 0 kN/m
Check ”Temperature“ Load option
and input Delta T as 15°C [T]
3 Save the Wizard file
4 Click “OK” to generate the model
