Coding in Scratch

As an introduction to Scratch, try to learn how to achieve the following goals:

● Animate your name


● Make and animate a character
● Move a sprite
○ On it’s own in a loop
○ Through user input

● Distort Sprites
○ Change
■ Size
■ Colour
■ Swirl
■ Spin

● Sound
○ Make Sprites speak
○ Add sound effects and music

● Change backdrops
● Add new stage when sprite hits border
● Hide and show sprites on contact

● Google - “Scratch Tutorial”

● Ask a classmate /teacher

● Experiment
