As a result of completing this assignment, you will be able to:

 use the most important features of CANVAS


 check your grades
 learn how to see the feedback given by your instructors
 use Starfish
 join Zoom to meet with your instructor during office hours

To prepare to answer the questions, visit Roary’s OnLion Learning Space at this
link: https://ccp.instructure.com/courses/1536120. Click on modules. Learn about the features
of using CANVAS by going through the modules.
Answer the following 6 questions by typing directly onto this document. Do not change the
format of the document.
1. Based on the information in Roary’s OnLion Learning Space, what are the top five
things you need to know about using CANVAS for a course?

a. Be able to login with ccp credentials

b. Learn how to acess quizes online

d. Checking notifications for updates

e. Keeping up to date with grades

2. What is digital etiquette?

Treating people with respect and making yourself clear and adjusting word choice based on
who your speaking to.

4. Click on Calendar in the sidebar to the left in CANVAS. Check out the Calendar features.
Add one or two events of your own (be sure to click the + to add) and select which
classes you want to appear in your calendar.

5. Click on Starfish Connect on the sidebar to the left of your AH 101 CANVAS course.
Explore the features in Starfish Connect, including the Home tab, My Success Network,
and the Services tab.

Use the Services tab to click the link to the Academic Advising website. Click on the
button for current students and find the advisors assigned to your major, Health Care
Studies.

6. It is important to check your CANVAS course regularly. You should check CANVAS
emails, course announcements, work due in the current unit, and grades every day.
Students who do not check CANVAS regularly may miss important information and have
difficulty succeeding in the course.

Describe your plan for checking your CANVAS course regularly. How will you
make this part of your daily routine?

Well for me its simple really, when I wake up I check my phone for texts and emails so now I
can add canvas to the list of things I check first thing.
