Ans.When you click on the table,you notice a four headed arrow at the upper left corner.this is

called table move handle.A small hollow square at the bottom right corner of the table is

called the table resize handle.


b. Splitcells and merge cells

Ans. Splitting a cell means dividing a selected cell into multiple separate cells. Merging cell
consolidate data in one cell.

3. What is formatting?

Ans.Formatting controls the overall appearance of a table. You can format the entire table by

using table style feature.

4. How can you change the column width in a table?

Ans.a) Select the column whose width you want to change.

b) Click on table layout ,select the properties option.


c) click on column tab,select the prefer width check box,increase/decrease column width then click OK.
